A general question.

Are mons with legacy moves worth keeping even if they aren't useful for gyms (ie. collecting/trading)?

What mons have legacy moves? I know of gyrados, omastar, and chansey. I have a chansey with psybeam.

some legacy moves are worth keeping - and they could become a novelty once trading happens...if it ever does.

There are a few Pokemon that have useful moves that are no longer obtainable, but most of the new moves were buffs. Still, legacy movesets are still worth keeping just because they're rare.

• Dragon Breath on Gyarados was good against Dragonite when paired with Dragon Pulse, plus there's the subjective opinion that it just looks cooler than Bite.

• Although Acid on Muk was a weaker version of Poison Jab, it guaranteed you got a good defending move (although Muk kinda sucks now)

• Rock Throw (with Rock Slide) on Omastar made it a niche attacker into Lapras. The only other Pokemon that can get a double rock type moveset is Golem, but Ice moves are super effective against ground while Omastar's water typing resists it.

• Mud Shot on Diglett is the best Bubblestrat attacker by far - there are some matchups where it is required

• Mud Shot is arguably better on Golem than Mud Slap because Golems suck at defending, and Mud Shot was a better move on offense than Mud Slap.
