Keeping Legacy movesets?

Are you holding onto mons just because they have legacy movesets?
Example: a Flareon with Ember/Heat Wave. Totally worthless, except for the legacy.
OR Arcanine with Fire Fang/Bulldoze.
Alakazam with Psycho cut/ Dazzling Gleam.
Exeggcutor with Confusion/Solar Beam

These are just a few examples, but I'm curious if anyone is holding onto these types of movesets just because they are legacy?

No, not just because they are legacy sets, but because they are useful.

Speaking of that, damn Niantic for killing sh*t like Body Slam. They should've killed Earthquake. Got rid of a high CP Lick x Body Slam just because it was 80 iv, and now I regret it. ? ...that set is going to be killer in PvP.

I kept my only L/BS lax with around mid 70% IVs. Gonna be really useful as an attacker.

Damn them for removing Flamethrower on everything except for Flareon. It's fantastic for attacking / defending but now it's gone for both Arcanine and Charizard

A Trainer friend of mine has been saying the same thing about that.

Man, why the hell would somebody get rid of a 80IV Snorlax for 1 candy? hahahaha

I am not sure whether to transfer gyarados with twister. Niantic may decide to change moves again, maybe twister becomes powerful... The same thing with psychic - Exeggutors. If psychic gets its second bar back.....
I need more pokemon space!

That's part of the reason I asked the question. I'm running out of space because I tend to keep one of everything!

Twister is better now than before. Transfered a 100 Twister 2 weeks before G2 came out. I got so many regrets. Whatever, you play and you learn.

So far it has been the case that they have kept the moves pretty close to how they perform in the original game.. Twister was awful in the GB games. Twister had 40 power / 100 accuracy... Dragon Claw had 80 power / 100 accuracy... Outrage had 120 power / 100 accuracy. Aside from PP (the number of times you could use the move) it was strictly worse than all other Dragon moves [1] (except in some cases Dragon Rage if I recall correctly).

I am not keepeing useless pokemon like ember flareons or eggs with confusion because they are just useless and i have less pokemon place by keeping them - of course i keep DB/DC or SW/DP dragonites because DB is still great for attack

Definitely keeping my DB/DC Dragontie, RT/RS Omastar, all 3 ZH/BS Snorlaxi and the L/BS... That may be all i intend to keep but surely there are more but not relevant really

When it comes to Flareon, i transfer, they're just too easy to obtain, the Ark9 with bulldoze, Alakzam with Gleam are both useless in any instance, so transfer them too. Eggy with C/SolarB are very good, kep it.

What I am doing is just keep 1 of all moves if possible, especially for mons which have great/decent stats...I break this rule when the move is not STAB since it probably won't be as good no matter what.

This helps if you have maxed out your mon storage space during the 50% sale (I did) and after most of my exp parties, I have tons of space again.

Niantic can do 1 simple change and Ember/Heatwave could be uber good so if you want to play conservatively, I think doing that isn't hard if you have the space.

Changes that may affect strategy is if Super Effective becomes worth 1.5x (or even 2x like in the games) instead of 1.25 or if PvP comes out (which I have little interest in actually), then a Solar Beam Ninetales would knock out everything in 1 hit, especially it's common water counters.

Conf/Solar Beam is boss on Exeggutor...especially since it's a great attacker into a ZH Blissey or Snorlax (I have 1 at level 30).

I would honestly keep ALL legacy Pokémon(with decent IV)

The reason being is like everyone else is saying what if ninantic changes the movesets?

Also think about if trading ever comes into play(even though I don't want it to come into play) if you have that legacy Pokémon that someone else wants for some reason it could be a good trading Token.

There has to be a way to make room to keep these guys think do them as extinct. Defiantly keep

That too i'm saving them just incase trading can get me something good out of pokemon with legacy moves
