Keeping Legacy movesets?
Are you holding onto mons just because they have legacy movesets?
Example: a Flareon with Ember/Heat Wave. Totally worthless, except for the legacy.
OR Arcanine with Fire Fang/Bulldoze.
Alakazam with Psycho cut/ Dazzling Gleam.
Exeggcutor with Confusion/Solar Beam
These are just a few examples, but I'm curious if anyone is holding onto these types of movesets just because they are legacy?

So far it has been the case that they have kept the moves pretty close to how they perform in the original game.. Twister was awful in the GB games. Twister had 40 power / 100 accuracy... Dragon Claw had 80 power / 100 accuracy... Outrage had 120 power / 100 accuracy. Aside from PP (the number of times you could use the move) it was strictly worse than all other Dragon moves [1] (except in some cases Dragon Rage if I recall correctly).

What I am doing is just keep 1 of all moves if possible, especially for mons which have great/decent stats...I break this rule when the move is not STAB since it probably won't be as good no matter what.
This helps if you have maxed out your mon storage space during the 50% sale (I did) and after most of my exp parties, I have tons of space again.
Niantic can do 1 simple change and Ember/Heatwave could be uber good so if you want to play conservatively, I think doing that isn't hard if you have the space.
Changes that may affect strategy is if Super Effective becomes worth 1.5x (or even 2x like in the games) instead of 1.25 or if PvP comes out (which I have little interest in actually), then a Solar Beam Ninetales would knock out everything in 1 hit, especially it's common water counters.
Conf/Solar Beam is boss on Exeggutor...especially since it's a great attacker into a ZH Blissey or Snorlax (I have 1 at level 30).
I would honestly keep ALL legacy Pokémon(with decent IV)
The reason being is like everyone else is saying what if ninantic changes the movesets?
Also think about if trading ever comes into play(even though I don't want it to come into play) if you have that legacy Pokémon that someone else wants for some reason it could be a good trading Token.
There has to be a way to make room to keep these guys think do them as extinct. Defiantly keep
