IV Stats App
I just downloaded and installed the app IV Stats, but it seems a little scary to me. I'm not used to an app having all of that information from my account, even if it is through an access code. Is it possible that Niantic could detect that we are using this app, and ban us for it? I've been doing IV calculations through website information, but this would save a lot of time and some uncertainty. I'm just not 100% sure it's safe. What have peoples' experiences been with it?

I just found PokeGenie for iPhone - it's amazing, pay for the upgrade so you can do bulk image uploads. I went through an army of Eevee "wonders" 60+ that would have taken hours to type in all the information to web site or spreadsheet (I wanted to identify the 90+%)- with a button on screen to take screen shot it was amazingly fast, and the app user interface is a joy to use. Too bad I'm not getting paid to say all this!
I suggest using only screen overlay apps (I use Calcy IV, which is excellent) as there is no way you can get banned using those. With any apps that require any sort of access to your Niantic account there is simply no way to guarantee that Niantic will not be able to trace it. The fact that IV Stats is "safe" now does not mean it will stay that way so personally I think it's better to be safe instead of risking a ban for some more convenience.
