How much money spent ?

I have only spent money that I earn for free taking Google surveys. Usually takes about 2 months for $5 but hey it’s free. I would say a total of around $20 that I earned for free taking surveys that last about 20 seconds a piece.

$40 ~ $60? I've been kinda bad since v-day event what with v-day and gen 2, but like, $60 on a game I've been playing for >6 months isn't all that bad, and when the weather warms up so I can do battling again, I'll probably be able to stop buying incubators with USD. It's just hard not to when there's a new gen and lots of stuff I don't have. Not that these garbage eggs seem to be hatching any of it.

Pretty cheap habit compared to my other vices, though.

I spent $20 backin October and dribbled that all away on incubators.
Then spent another $20 in late December to buy the one big "gift" package. BUT, right now I have 3790 coins from gyms, so I'm almost even.

Probably just short of $100, mainly on incubators. My wife and I are Instinct in an area utterly dominated by Valor/Mystic so even though we make a daily gym collection run, we can only take over about 3 gyms & collect before the other teams take them back.

I used to spend about $20 USD weekly, on incubators. This allowed me to consistently hatch high IV Pokemon, and I very much enjoyed this pay-to-win aspect of the game.

I stopped spending a dime since the Gen 2 update, realizing that there is likely no guaranteed long-term value in collecting the "best of its kind" Pokemon.

I've been fortunate enough to collect free coins from 10 gyms every day so far in 2017, and probably averaged 6-7 per day from mid-August through the end of 2016.

My main priority was maxing out item storage first, an upgrade that gives a perpetual benefit. Upgraded pokemon storage gradually as needed, and was at 500 until gen 2 came out, then took advantage of the discount to upgrade to 700. Also bought lucky eggs (in batches of 8 for 500 coins) as needed for mass evolutions. Accidentally bought/butt-dialed a purchase of 8 lure modules. I've only purchased incubators when I've had a large surplus of coins, or if I get a 10K egg & don't have an incubator to hatch it with.

Again, all with free gym coins.

More than $100, and less than $200

I have 9 egg cells hatching all the time whenever eggs are collected, I am collecting 10 gyms daily most of the time since October maybe. Total maybe $800 (bought 5-6 times of $100, and 4-6 times of $40). And actually got a free $40 (when I bought $40, I got 2 $40 receipts. I asked them, they said the 1st receipt is for an earlier purchase, but just sent to me the same time with the 2nd purchase to bundle up. But they said: regardless, they like to refund me $40.)
They kind of skrewed up the CP formula and movesets shuffling from time to time, so we should spend less money in that regard.

I bought a battery pack, does that count?

Zero dollars in the game. I work hard for gym spots but I can only make 150-200 coins per week. This week I had my first gym that lasted long enough for me to collect 3 times from it, about 50h total.

But with few incubators I get very few 10km eggs of course, only 1 drago, 1 Snorlax, candy for 1 Blissey
