How difficult are the Hitmons and Donphan now?
Of course, their solo guides were written before the effectiveness rebalance and subsequent 20% HP buff.

Most raids are still easier than they used to be even after the 20% HP buff and Hitmons and Donphan are no exception.
You can now do Hitmonchan with level 30 Espeons/Alakazams without weatherboost or Donphan with level 30 Roserade/Mamoswine/Gyarados without weatherboost and it shouldn't be close to failing according to pokebattler. This is much less than they used to require and these are just the most accessible viable counters at level 30.
The Hitmon-bros Definitely harder than the usual Tier 3 solos, I'm at 20-ish seconds left with only 2 maxed proper counters (C/Ps Mewtwo, SA Moltres), other less optimized ones (C/SB Mewtwo) and L35 Gardevoir.
The problem of Hitmonchan is the unpredictable moveset - it can hit SE Moltres and hit for neutral damage to Mewtwo / Gardevoir.
Donphan was easier for me than the Hitmons back then, and now you can have not only Kyogre / Gyarados as counters, but also easier to get Grass Knot Roserade (ideal against Counter / Play Rough) and Breloom, or the almighty Mamoswine.
