how bad is this machamp?

just evolved a 96% machamp (became 2132cp instantly). it got bullet punch / heavy slam... both steel moves. steel does 1,25x dmg vs ice, fairy, rock. lapras is gone and blissey is normal and not fairy...
only positive thing i see is that bullet punch stacks the charge bar faster.
some opinions? i prob dont want to push it anyway, but maybe someone got ideas what to with it.

I'm so glad to have an army of good pokemon like dragonite and snorlax now after battling with Eevee evolutions for like 6 months lol.

Defense.

No.
Reason: It will be killed by espeon or alakazam in less than 10 seconds. The double steel moveset does not help him.

Transfer and try again. FYI go for machops at high level regardless of IVS. IVs have almost no impact on attacking pokemon only the calculation of CP value and the amount of stardust needed to get it to level 30.

No don't transfer any high level Pokémon until you know we can't change moves.

Well assuming that they do allow this you think it will be pretty common? I assume it will never come but if it ever does i think it will be very rare so prolly best served for high value mons, not mons you can find at nests.

This translates to: "Don't transfer any high level Pokémon."

How can you know, that move changes do not come?
This means, a full inventory of useless Pokémon that sometimes maybe will be good.

Definitely suboptimal. Two of the types that steel is effective against, which is ice and rock, fighting is also effective against, and fighting will have STAB.

Also Lapras has water/ice typing so steel ends up being 1x damage against it, while counter gets STAB + super effective = 1.56x damage.

Even against fairy types which machamp is weak to, so you wouldn't be using a machamp to fight into them, bullet punch still has less damage than counter, but it does have 10 energy per use compared to 8, though that doesn't make up for STAB + SE counter doing more than double the damage of a bullet punch.

If you're looking for something to fight Blissey with, a Vaporeon is probably better than a Machamp with 2 steel moves.

All the relevant defensive ice type on the game are also water, to there is no type advantage, and even if it was fighting would do it much better, same thing to rock. Fairy doesn't have a defensive relevant pokemon yet, and fairy is SE against fighting. Your machamp is basically useless, I am sorry.

"IVs have almost no impact on attacking" might be true, but i want a machamp thats good in attack and defense. and i dont need it asap for fighting anyway. got enough attackers and a maxed machamp, but with an old moveset.

"Your machamp is basically useless" haha yeah, thats what i thought.

thanks for the answers. i wont transfer. prob never gonna use but keep it, because its beautiful and worth 1 space.
