Heracross Dilemma
While on a trip to southern Florida this weekend, I was lucky to catch a Heracross in the wild, level 25, HP 11/ATK 8/DEF 12, IV 68.9. The CP is 2001, and movesets are Struggle Bug and Close Combat. Trying to decide if I should use it as is or spend dust to power it up to level 28 or so. It may be a decent gym defender although the IV is not great. I live in an area where Heracross is not available and haven't seen them in local gyms. Thoughts?

I live in Brazil, so I have like 40 of them. The only thing that comes close to C/CC is C/Megahorn, struggle bug is not good for attacking. He is a beast with his best moveset, my best one have 2100 cp, is 84% ivs but have SB/ Eq, he can barely do the job of a 1000 cp with counter and close combat. Keep it as a trophy, try to get a good machamp or go back to florida.
if its really far away from you and you are sure that you will never return to a heracross spawn area, id probably take it. if not, its not worth imo.
25 to 28 isnt that much, but you would have to walk for candy. if you keep playing and level up it will be hard to keep your heracross a relevant defender (lvl 28 maybe 2200 cp?). close combat sounds good, but struggle bug idk... but i havent fought a heracross yet and prob never will. seen one heracross in a gym (spoofer)... in europe.
As said by a fellow player from Brazil, he's only really good with Counter / Close Combat. I got really lucky with a Heracross with that moveset and 91% IVs, powering him up all the way from level 12 or so as I caught him and he's at 36 now. I wouldn't power yours up at all, as both the IVs and moveset are subpar.
