Gym raids- Dragonite not optimal for any boss battle?

Whilst Dragonite is still probably the best choice for all around attacking a rival gym, against Raids, they seem pretty bad in a team of 6 Dragonites. Lets break down the tier 3+ bosses:

Arcanine: Super effectiveness from Vaporeon/Rhydon trumps the attack stat of Dnite (as a bonus Rhydon also tanks Wild charge)

Alakazam: Gengar and Trex are far and away superior to Dragonite in this, I'm not sure if a Bite/Crunch gyarados can even out-DPS a dragonite in this case with SE being more important than STAB.

Machamp: Espeon, Alakazam, again far and away better than Dragonite (hurricane dnite is good though)

Vaporeon: The big 4 grasses with Solar Beam, TS/TB Jolteon, are likely better with the SE.

Jolteon: Rhydon and Golem, tanks all defensive moves

Flareon: Same as Arcanine case (minus the wild charge bit)

Then going into tier 4 (and if you have help), dragonite may have more merit for staying longer in the fights without risking time out, but you might as well go for the higher DPS options again.

D-Nite is really just good into Venusaur if you have a Hurricane variant. D-nite also suffers in raids for the fact that Dragon is only good vs itself. Not a big deal though, just pick type advantage mons. You'll be fine as long as you have 4-5 people helping you with lv 4 raids.

I am guessing they will rotate those raid mons at some point.

Dragonites are decent generalists to fill your back up slots, since I doubt many people have 6 ideals.

Dt/o is best vs. jolteon as far as DPS, in fact after legacy sc/sball gengar. More DPS then SE and STAB rhydon. And you need speed to solo a Jolteon.
Machamp - Hurricane one is right after top psychics, just before Eggy. But how many lvl 35+ psychics do you have? I have 0 over lvl 30 right now.

At lvl 4 Snorlax dt ones are second only to machamps and for southamerica Herracross. And to focus blast Ala and counter/hb ursaring. But who will max one of them? Dragonite advantage is that we usually have them already at hugh level from old system.

In rest, I fully agree, just wanted to mention he still can be top mon in at least one raid.

Yeah, the main point is that we have these high level Dragonites that no longer need to sit in gyms. This is a good use for them. They may not be ideal, but they're ready.

I don't have an infinite roster of level 30+ attackers to choose from, so my two 3k+ Dragonites are usually going to make my top six.
