Great league PvP Gimmick squad

Like many others I don’t PvP much, and I also don’t care about offending/undercutting prospective opponents. What would you include with a maxed Chansey and a 1493 Lugia?

If you encountered a maxed Chansey and a Lugia in great league what would you wish your squad included (probably Vigoroth? and?)

Chansey is pretty bad, any decent GL Mon can deal with it. Lugia I would probably want anything with steel typing (skarmory comes to mind).

Makes sense, the 5 min I thought about it, I presumed they would switch to something that could beat Chansey quickest. Maybe it would be vulnerable to the Lugia I would switch in. The level 15 lugia I got had 5 Attack, so guessing not too many in GL. Skarmory very prevalent so not like LUgia an unchecked GL menace

If you're looking for a gimmick I would suggest wobbofet. The only draw back is you need your max it so steep investment

Yeah, that has a theme, but a certain to lose theme. Maybe a Bastiodon, if I ever get a perfect lucky.***in the near-term might as well just do a 1490 Registeel

You know nothing. Wobofette boasts one of the highest stamina in the game and also has access to the single greatest fast move (that also offers type coverage). Then when you factor in human error and ignorance its sure to burn one or more shields too. My wobbofett can easily tear thru 1 and a half mons. I would offer to wipe the floor with you but it would take a month, so seek one out yourself and get a mean lickin'.

I'm not implying that you are a bad PvP player, however, a Wobbly with a Lugia doesn't seem like ingredients to a greatly-rounded team--dark and ghost get them both. I want to waste time, but have a 75-85% chanse of being surprisingly victorious.

Off the top of my head at least the following beat both Lugia and Chansey in great league (not 2-v-1, but win either one):
Any good steel type
Umbreon
Azumarill

C/FP Hitmonchan would answer any steel type as well as Umbreon and can at least put a dent in Azu if given TP as the second move. If you want to go full gimmick running some of the tankiest mons possible, consider running Umbreon, Azu or Cresselia yourself.

Interesting suggestions/advice. I did hatch a 100% Tyrogue that I wanted to buy a 2nd move for...that would add some suspense/excitement for the evolve. When that fails I could get a proper tyrogue. I do have a 98 azurill I should buy a 2nd move for, too

If I encountered both of those, I would want Bastiodon, 100%. Incredible stats for Great League, doubly resists both Normal and Flying, and singly resists Psychic. Hydro Pump Lugia would be super effective, but it would die way before it could use one. I wouldn't be surprised if it could run through both of them with no shields.

Gimmick?
Deoxys attack form with psycho boost. It'll one shot anything in GL that doesn't shield it, but it loses if it gets shielded.
If you want an actual decent squad, i'd pair lugia with umbreon and Deoxys D (when it comes out)
