GPS lag ?

Hi, i've been having a problem lately- it seems like my gps stops working when i hit pokestop or check the gym, im just stuck around it. It was like this before i updated the app and unfortunately i've been struggling with this since now.
Happens to you too?
Maybe its my phones fault?

I get it a lot when I have finished with a gym.
It started with the last update (not this weeks)...I believe it is a side effect of them 'fixing gps drift'.

I don't get distance when I walk around my own property anymore, and I get stuck at gyms after taking them out.
