Good place to catch dittos?

Any good places or way to catch a ditto?
A lot of missions request that I catch a ditto and I have not seen one in quite awhile.

Any suggestions?

They're always harder to find when event spawns are on, but your best bet are places with high volumes of people passing through and generally common spawn - bus stations etc.

Not always. Lunar Event imho boost a little chance for them, as Rattatas are everywhere and Mankey also are pretty common now, especially in cloudy( which i have most time), and both species are possible to be Ditto.

Has anyone caught a Ditto during the event from a Rattata or Mankey? I suspect that Ditto has its usual low chance of occurring, and the usual probabilities of what it disguises itself as.

I have caught a ditto. Try focusing on catching pokemon with something that has swirling around them. I caught it after catching a sentret and then transformed into a ditto. Hope this could help you out.

You won't have any way of knowing until after you've caught it.

I will go to places that have a lot of spawn points around a couple stops or more and lure them up. I get one pretty consistently although it did take a couple hours once

Try to find a place where Pokemon that can turn into Ditto spawns.

I have a place near me where I usually can find a fair amount of Rattata, Pidgey and such. If I spend enough time there catching everything I'll get a Ditto in the end.

If you have a local group on Discord or Messenger or something similar, ask there if anyone knows of a place with lots of Pidgey, Rattata and the likes.
