To evolve this Chansey or not to evolve, that is the question

Just hatched another Chansey and have 55 candies now. I have a level 28 Chansey (71% 14atk-4def-14Sta) that would turn into a 2500CP Blissey.

My question is this, how much difference is that 4def going to make vs one with 12+def?

I hatched an 84% Chansey level 20, 10atk-13def-15sta. If evolved it would only be 1768CP and wouldn't be worthwhile to use until I got more candies and they are pretty rare unless I hatch another (again rare).

Is that 4def that bad for a Blissey? Over time I likely will hatch another one to get more candies and then maybe my 84% one would be better?

Use the CP calculator in gamepress to see the max CP of each Blissey. The 71 one may be better because of its much higher attack IV.

241 def / 233 def = 3,4% damage delt until it faints
(241 def / 233 def) ^ (1/2) = 1,7% CP

4 points attack are important too
143 att / 139 att = 2,9% damage delt until faints
143 att / 139 att = 2,9% CP

I would evolve the first chansey. It is bigger in the beginning, it will be bigger in the end. It will safe candy.

The fact that it has 14 ATK is ideal whereas the DEF stat is the most negligible.

Stamina is actually by far the most negligible for purposes of Blissey's max CP.

Stamina is actually the most negligible, and Def is arguably the most important if you value Tankiness over CP.

Evolve the level 28 Chansey. You want that attack stat boost. I don't think +4 att v. -9 def is a big compromise. Take the one that you can immediately use. Walk a Chansey to make the level 20 one a long term project.
