event not so bad
i thought the lack of double candy was a bit of a bummer but underestimated how good it was to have most of the rubbish hatches removed for a week.
I got bored and decided to use my coins; gym not bought maybe i should have spent some dosh after all. Finally got more 10km eggs, 3 in the space of half an hour yesterday and they hatched this morning all at the same time.
egg one snorlax :), lick/earthquake :( 85% ~
egg two dratini :) 89%
egg three snorlax :) lick/hyperbeam :) 14/15/15 :)
total snorlax candy 55
now left with the dilema of what to spend the candy on the lick/hyperbeam level 20
or a 65% zen/body slam level 29
maybe take the zen/bs to level 30 and spend the rest on the L/HB
might have to take some time out from walking blissey to get them both to level 30.

What I noticed, more than the flashy pulls, is how nice it was to build up candy on regular mons I cannot find here like Machop, Shellder, Lapras, and others. In a normal draw at least half of that would be completely useless garbage candy and mons and take 5Km to hatch to boot. I picked up 150+ Machop candies alone. Others were similar.
wasn't quiet that lucky on my 2kms although did get a 75% double ice lapras and a near perfect eevee

the main effect ended up being that because of the high turn over it doubled the chance of getting a decent mon and the high rate of 2km eggs kept turnover high through the brown incubator (a dps event if you will)
Although now I am looking at having to grind a mountain of star dust for my t-rex, dragonite and snorlax. Not to mention candy for the 2 blisseys and 3 chanceys I need evolve/level.
Hopefully the next event will be buddy candy/stardust.
I'm a fan! I'm hatching eggs left and right! I had saved up my gym coins for this alleged Easter event, and I bought 5 incubators. They're long gone, but I have no regrets. I've gotten some good candy, 2 Lapras, and a Tyrogue with a 50-50 shot at giving me my missing Hitmonchan (need more candies). The only thing missing is I haven't gotten any 10km eggs yet. As someone who has gotten exactly 1 Snorlax and exactly 1 Dratini since July, I would love to pick up a couple of those over the next couple days. Oh, and hatching an Aerodactyl would be awesome.
