Event interrupting nest spawns?

It seems to have affected some nests but not others?

I finally got a shiny kabuto via nest today. Other park was Meditite. Other one Psyduck. I saw a lot of each. I’m finishing another batch of luvdiscs, so I’ve been searching for the event Pokémon.

The larger local nests still have the nest spawns for me, albeit in reduced numbers compared to when an event isn't on. One of the smaller nests seems completely overwhelmed by event spawns though.
