dynamic punch vs close combat
i read everywhere that DP is better but i dont unterstand why... can somebody explain? the DPS of CC is 63.91 and DP is 48.89...

It takes you the same amount of time to charge up for either move, after which, you can do one round of 100 damage in 2.3 seconds, or two rounds of 90 damage in 2.7 seconds each. The C/CC machamp will get a 3.1 second head start on building up a second charge, but that's not quite enough to catch up, and how many charge moves are you going to get in before your machamp faints?
Damage Per Energy is typically the most important consideration for charged moves, whereas DPS / EPS are the main considerations for quick moves; however, you also want to pay close attention to the respective cooldowns of the charge moves when comparing the DPE.
check out the Outrage vs. Hurricane thread for a similar discussion. Outrage has a DPE of 2.2 whereas Hurricane has a DPE of 1.1 -- but Outrage isn't anywhere close to twice as good because you spend far longer in cooldowns during every Damage cycle. Granted, Outrage is still the better charge move -- but this is only meant to illustrate that DPE isn't the whole magilla, as they say.
Correct your dpe with energy a average 10 dps / 10 eps quick move would have collected and with damage, this quick move would have done during casting time.
DPE_corrected = (Damage_charged - 10 * time_charged) / (Energy_charged + 10 * time_charged.)
With DPE_corrected, you get a useable metrics for charged moves.
