Do you think they could give muddy water and blaze kick?

Looking at sceptile, I find it odd they gave it its former signature move, but not the other two starters. (Also for side note incase confusion about non legendary signature moves, metagross never had meteor mash as a signature move, clefable also had access to it at the same time, there was a time where only those three starters got there moves)

I know it's more likely than not that blaziken and swampert are getting blast burn and hydrocannon, but I think it'd be nice if they just added these moves, as they are their former signature moves. Even if they were just clones of the elemental hyperbeams. Though with the elemental hyperbeams these two will still be fantastic attackers.

Thought I feel bad for sceptile, as grass knot roserade kinda took its chance to shine with frenzy plant as top grass.

do you think niantic might do that, if they give blaze kick and muddy water , reskin the elemental hyper beams for the former signature moves or maybe make blaze kick and muddy water their own thing.

To be fair, prior to the release of FireRed and LeafGreen, Meteor Mash actually was the signature move of Metagross.

Otherwise, your point regarding Sceptile's current access to Leaf Blade, and the lack of access to Blaze Kick and Muddy Water for the respective starters, is notable.

Niantic has demonstrated the ability to establish conventions and then break from those conventions multiple times and in different ways. Maybe the Torchic and Mudkip CDs will incorporate a twist to them, or maybe not. Only time will tell.

In both Ruby and sapphire, Clefairy did get meteor mash.

I hope if they do something with those moves, they give sceptile a better grass fast move (so leafblade will do great in raids), or maybe give it dragon claw.

Technically speaking, Meteor Mash was still in Clefairy's learn set in Ruby and Sapphire. The limiting factor was Clefairy itself, who was unavailable without a GameShark or some other cheat device.

My guess is that they will be added during another movepool expansion like the one we had January 31st. Blaze Kick has relatively limited availability outside of Blaziken and Muddy Water can be dropped onto a pretty wide array of water types. It would be nice for the starters to get these moves but if added I imagine they'll be added to other things as well.

Did we get any indication from the Data Miners that these moves are good? What are their typing and stats in PvE and PvP?

No, because those moves so far have no information tied to them other than the fact that they exist. Their typing is the same as it would be in the main series, a move's type has never differentiated from that.

Just wanna pop in and say the Whishcash also learned Muddy water back in the day, I don't think Swampert actually had a signature due to that

In generation 3 only marshtomp and swampert learned muddy water, it wasn't until gen 5 wishcash got it via egg moves
Signature moves are moves only learned by one species/evolution line naturally (ie excluding event movesets like the arceus with roar of time, spatial rend and shadow force or things such as XD Gale of darkness psycho boost lugia) as in gen 3 only the three starters got their respective moves, they were signature moves at tha time. Now they are what are classified as former signature moves
