Cloyster FB vs IS
So i evolved my second cloyster after grinding candies for many days...i play since day one and i'm left out with this:
1)14xx cp IS/blzzard 93% iv
2)13xx cp FB/HP 82% iv.
49 shelder candies..
I dont have a lapras yet as its the last pokemon i need for dex and i can't find one..So can anyone that has a high level IS cloyster help me out? I want to power it up so i can use it against dragonites..Is it worth? or should i wait another month or two to evolve another cloyster and hope for FB/blizzard (1/6 odd)
edit: I tried out the IS cloyster vs dragonites..i can fit 1 is in dragon breath and 2 in steel wing, since I have to dodge with cloyster in order to surive..

Yep - I use both as well. Anything with Blizzard is worth keeping.
Just want to note - don't bother dodging quick moves. No dodging, you lose like...2% DPS or something dumb. It's barely noticeable.
However, if you're dodging everything you'll lose out on a good chunk of DPS. You can only fit 1 in between Steel Wings vs. 2 FB so it takes forever to charge up Blizzard and drags out the battle (which means dodging/eating more charge moves)
You'll notice a difference more if you don't power it up and try to prestige with it. FWIW, I've found in this case that doing 3 quicks and doding every other SW works best.
GL and congrats! :)
IS works fine. I used an IS/B Cloyster (CP 2100) as my main Dragonite killer for a while, until I was fortunate enough to catch a wild lvl 30 Lapras with the same moveset. The Cloyster handled CP 3200 Dragonites, as long as I didn't miss any dodges on charge moves.
IS is slower than FB, but it doesn't seem as clunky as Razor Leaf on a Venusaur, for example. And IS gives you flexibility to use the pokemon on defense as well as attacking.
