Clefable mystery

I just evolved a Clefairy and got Charge Beam and Psychic even though that is listed as a legacy move on the evolution date of 4/18/17. However, the original catch date of the Clefairy was 10/26/16. Does this mean that the moves you will get are set when the mon is caught and not determined at the time of evolution?

Thats interesting.
Then does it mean you will get same moveset on evolve if two guys catch same pokemon ?
I will test it later today.

Cleffable's only legacy move is Pound, which was replaced with Charge Beam. Charge Beam/Psychic is a sad but possible moveset.

It was definitely an unexciting move set, I suppose the "Legacy Moveset" label next toe Charge Beam Psychic on the attacker move list is an error by game press.

Oh. Yeah, not sure why Charge Beam/Psychic is marked as legacy under attacking movesets. It isn't under defending movesets though. And if you look at individual move information further down, pound is correctly the only move marked as legacy.

If 2 players catch amd evolve the same pokemom they will get the same moves. I play with a friemd this always happen. We are close to the same level so I dont know if it makes a difference if someome is at a lower level, ex lv 26 vs lv 33. I know at those levels when you encounter the same Pokemon on the wild the CP is often different.

no, that is not true. catching the same mon will yield the same moveset, but evolving the same mon will not always yield the same moveset.

also if you are below level 30, your pokemon encounter level will be random from another trainer not the same level (it might be the same by chance). If you are 30 or above, your same spawn encounter will be the same level as another level 30 or greater.
