Best Grass against Vaporeon!?

I have a Tangela 93% IV Vine Whip/Solar Beam with 841 CP, and I beat a Vaporeon standing at Gym with 1602 CP LOL!! I liked how good Tangela dodge!!

Thinking about power up Tangela!!
Do u guys habve a good Tangela? Test agains Vaporeons on Gym!!!

Tangela is good, but Venasaur is by far the best Vaporeon counter.

Out of grass types yes Venusaur is best. Out of every pokemon, Dragonite is by far the best. Exeggutor is almost identical to Venusaur in terms of power.

With dodging, a Vine Whip/Solar Beam Venasaur is best, due to the Victreebel and Vileplume nerf. (Venasaur didn't get a nerf more than 1%)

Without dodging, it's a tie between Zen Headbutt/Solar Beam exeggutor and the above mentioned Vine Whip/Solar Beam Venasaur.

I already have this Venusaur. He was a bit bigger before the cp adjustment but he is still pretty effective.

He is really good? I have a 93% with the same moveset, but i was searching to find with solar beam haha! but its hardy to find bulbasaur haha

Tangela works fine but the problem is getting candies to power them up is harder than the other 3 popular grass types - Victreebel, Venusaur and Vileplume.

It's far easier finding Bellsprout / Oddish in the wild to power up Victreebel / Vileplume. Bulbasaur not so much - of the 3 starters, I see squirtle far more often than the other 2, but that's just my area, maybe you're different.

But Bulbasaurs are still more common than Tangelas in my opinion. I've never seen a Tangela in the wild or on sightings.
