Arcanine vs Snorlax

I think this could sound weird but I feel that Arcanine is more useful vs Snorlax than vs Exeggutor. I have one with good IVs Bite/Fireblast but a mediocre cp between 1750-1850 (I dont remember and dont really want to to power him up), but he can take very easy snorlax that are +2600 cp , but struggles vs Exeggutor with 2000 cp.
It supposed to be a counterpick to Exeggutor but I prefer to use it vs snorlax.

PS: Rhydon is very rare here and my only one has a very bad moveset.

TBH a lot of pokemon with a fast "quick move" and strong "charge move" are good against Snorlax. Bites cooldown is ~0.5 sec, whereas Exeggutors Confusion is ~1.51 seconds and Zen Headbutt is ~1.05 seconds. So it would make sense that a Bite/Fireblast Arcanine is more efficient.

Thanks for your good answer ! Also, i think Bite charges very quickly the charge move, so I can easily hit one or sometimes two Fire Blast before the first Hiper beam, or one befor the first body slam.

You are probably comparing a bad snorlax (lick/EQorHB) to a good exeggutor (C/psy or SeB)

I think that is because I only dodge charge moves. Snorlax weak moves hit less than exeggutor. Like one of the coments below: Exeggutor hits like a truck

I never use my arcanines, but i would rather use bite/flamethrower rather than fire fang/fireblast vs exe.
Easier to dodge for spammer like myself.

Yes, I also think that, for me is scarier a gym of 6 exeggutor than 6 vapes, cause I have plenty of counterpicks vs that anoying water gun users. But since the nerf nobody pick exeggutor for defense.

Definitely like a truck. Zen and Confusion from Exeggutor both hit harder than zen from Snorlax.

This is definitely the reason...Snorlax just doesn't seem to hit as hard as a defender so you only have to worry about time out and spam attacks...

Prestiging against a very strong exeggutor is annoying as well since with bugs, he still hits pretty hard and if you get tagged with solarbeam even on a successful dodge, you're in the dead/revive bug over and over again...

that's because exeggutor has a higher attack base plus stabbity STAB on his attacks, making it hit harder. The psychics will kill you a lot faster than the SB, but it will still do some damage. Fire seems to have too many weaknesses and not enough of advantages.

I agree that vape with HP is most useful against Snorlax (especially one with HyperBeam since so easy to dodge and then hit him with blast of water). I don't see any big advantage with Exeg on defense as even my flareons can toast him, just have to dodge solarbeam.

Depends on what kind of snorlaxes u faced. If it's lick/hyperbeam, it's much easier coz lick does pathetic dmg and hb is very easy to dodge. But if it's the infamous buttslam snorlax, then u will take more dmg.

If no dodging, arcanines can't survive, while with dodging, it still took alot of chunks of hp off.
