To anyone wondering what it's like soloing a tier 3 raid boss

FuNKyShO just posted a youtube video of him attempting to take down four different tier 3 raid bosses (Arcanine, Machamp, Gengar & Alakazam), solo.

Definitely not an easy task by the looks of it.

Since this a forum meant for asking questions and not promoting utube videos; Have any of you guys tried to battle a tier 3 boss by yourself? How did it go and against which mon(s)? Also, what level are you?

And he received no TMs for any of his 3 wins. There's just no point if you're not guaranteed at least one for soloing a level 3.

I got a Kazam down to 10% and a Vape down to 5%. I gave up trying to solo after that.

That's close tho. What charge move did the vape have?

He had Aqua Tail. I'm level 38 but the death loop is what failed me. I lost at least 15 seconds. I can do this if I power up a few more Jolteons to level 30+ but I'm on a stardust hiatus for now since I think these raids will both subside in frequency and people will start to bore with them. Have to think Niantic isn't done tinkering either.

Same here and same solo situation, lvl 38 against a Vape with AT and of course it looped me out after I had gotten the cp bar down to nothing with about 8 seconds left.

yesterday and today I took down Machamp 18K and Alakazam 19K alone after several times. It was hard because its lag. I couldn't dodge or used charge moves properly. My team were Alakazam, two Exeggutor, Dragonite and Espeon.

I soloed the following Tier 3 so far:

Successfully: Gengar, Vaporeon, Arcanine, Machamp

I failed vs: Alakazam & Jolteon

That's pretty impressive. I would have thought that Vap was impossible to take down alone due to tankiness.

It seems like all the Raid monster of a certain Tier have the same HP. Naturally low stamina poke like Alakazam or Jolteon profit from this adjustment while high stamina ones like Vaporeon get punished.

What you use for Vap?

Honestly, I think this is the new endgame for a lot of the higher level people since it gives us something to do.

No more gyms to maintain so we are trying to get our ideal 6 to solo all the tier 3 bosses...

Would be cool to get a badge maybe...something to show we can/did it.

I failed 3 times against an Arcanine today. 2 of the 3 I was so close I could taste it, but I timed out all 3 times. Biggest problem was lag. Couldn't dodge and my Charge moves took 2 or even 3 times to get them out.

I was able to solo Machamp- used 2 espeon ZH/FS, C/P used 2 Kazam PC/P PC/FS, used 2 dragons DT/H both
Did it with like 2 seconds it was not easy
