97% Conf/Psy Alakazam worth powering up?
I have this 97% iv Alakazam that unfortunately came out with confusion, powered It up until the 2000ish cp and I find It quite lackluster as an attacker at the moment. I can only use 1 attack before dodging most of the time and failing any dodge at charged moves means fainting. Can anyone give me some insight on powering It up more?
I was expecting the crazy dps a psycut Alakazam apparently provides, but It came out really short of that, with other Pokémon always performing better as reliable attackers

With that moveset, and IV's that high, I'd power him up as a defender, if you have plenty of candy & dust. He's a better defender than most people give him credit for, especially in a high-level gym, where the attacker is limited to a team of six. I've prestiged against my own C/P Alakazam with mons of a similar CP, and he's not hard to beat, but he gets his licks in.
I have one I stick in a gym that gets attacked by a team. This group moves around and clear gyms together.
I know he will fall quickly, just like every other mon in the gym, but before he does he gets a few big hits in first, doing some serious damage very fast.
Not a great defender, but he will do damage.
