87 iv Charizard with air slash and BB worth powering up?

This question is long overdue but I missed last year's charmander CD and this is the only charizard that has blast burn, is it worth it to power up and is it better than a 100%iv charizard without blast burn?

BB charizard is a real gem for Great/Ultra league PvP.

In PvE, the BB zard will always be better than a non BB zard.

Should you power it up? Depends, do you have enough Moltres/Entei to put together a team of 6? If so, the BB zard isn't worth powering up. If not... Wait until fire is an in demand attacking type to power up the BB zard (because fire doesn't do anything on offense right now).

Correction: Fire is not useful for the current raids, but if gyms in your area are competitive, you need a Fire attacker to deal with Metagross and the occasional Grass-type defender.

Metagross is extremely common in my area and I've never brought in a fire attacker for any other reason but fun. It has a lot of weaknesses. Grass defenders generally aren't that common or great at defending in the first place.

A fire attacker for gyms can be useful, but you don't *need* it.

If your gyms are that competitive, you need a friend to help you take them down faster, NOT a BB charizard.
Also, if you "NEED" a fire attacker, FS/OH Moltres is still better DPS wise.
I don't mind being corrected, but please make sure your correction is accurate first...

Well, first, I would TM Air Slash into Fire Spin.

But before that, I would check what you've got for Fire types as is. If you have a few Moltres, then you should leave the Zard alone. Same for Heatran, and even for Entei.

If not, go nuts :)
