Are Gen 2 mons less biome specific?
I live in a pretty big city which is a Grass/Bug biome, and before Gen 2 I almost never found mons which belong to different types of biomes - for example Growlithe, Geodude, Sandshrew, Magikarp, Psyduck, Drowzee, Magnemite... They're all extremely common in their respective biomes, but very rare sightings my area. It took me a few weeks or even months to evolve one of those.
Gen 2, however, seems quite different. In just a few days, I've caught several Houndour, Slugma (which I thought were obviously gonna be as rare as Growlithe and the previous Fire types), Wooper, Remoraid, Mantine (which I thought were only gonna spawn near rivers like the karps and ducks), and even 4 Sudowoodo (which I thought was gonna belong to Rock biomes). And most of that without even leaving my house.
To recap, I feel like biomes are less strict than they were with Gen 1, when 90% of my catches were Rattata, Pidgey, Eevee and the usual Grass and Bug types. Does anyone else have that same experience?

For the most part, I've seen 5 pokemon for the past week, with something different every once in a while. What's more interesting, out of the wild ones I've caught below, none has had an IV of 82%+
