Pokemons better left unevolved?

Exactly like what the title says.

Even before the introduction of Eviolite, some trainers have considered not evolving their Scythers into Scizors and Vigoroths into Slakings.

But now that Scizor and Blissey is here, should I save a good Scyther/Chansey just in case if Eviolite arrives later on?

No. It's no good to live in the future always chasing the next update. Get the best mons you can now, and if Niantic changes the situation you can adapt then.

P.S. let me know where you can find Vigoroths!

Since there currently aren't any stat enhancing items in the game, there's reason to doubt if Eviolite will ever arrive. Waste of time to wait on a possible update that adds this to the game in my opninion...

I doubt whether hold items will ever be in PokemonGo.

The main reason to keep unevolved pokemon is if they have a good attacking moveset and are at a good CP for building prestige.

Before the Gen2 release and the move slowdown, the main unevolved pokemon worth keeping were:
-Ivysaur (Vine Whip/Solar Beam)
-Wartortle (Water Gun/Hydro Pump)
-Graveler (Rock Throw/Stone Edge)
-Machoke (Low Kick/Cross Chop)

I'm not sure yet how this list looks after Gen2 release and the move slowdown.
