It's hard to imagine that not too long ago everyone was deriding just how rocky the introduction of Mega Evolutions was, as we're now to a point where they're absolute staples of the Raid meta, and here's one that's not to be missed! Potentially ruling the Bug Type Meta and putting in great work for the Fighting Type Meta, Mega Heracross may not be destined to be an absolute staple Mega Evolution, but it is definitely worth the time and resources needed to add it to any collection. And to make that job all the easier, we've got a Raid Day devoted to it!

  • Mega Heracross raids take over gyms en-masse and for the duration of the event
  • Heracross encountered via raids will have greater odds of being Shiny
  • The Remote Raid limit will be raised to 20 from April 12 at 5:00 p.m. to April 13 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Players will be able to claim up to 5 additional Raid Passes from Gyms during event hours.
  • When 2 or more Trainers complete an in-person raid, Pokemon spawns around the gym that hosted the raid will increase.
  • The Heracross Raid Ultra Ticket will be available for $4.99 in the Pokemon Go Web Store 
  • An Event Ticket will also be available for $5.00 that will grant a number of bonuses:
    • +8 Raid Passes from spinning Gyms
    • Increased odds of Rare Candy XL in Raid rewards
    • 1.5x bonus XP from Raids
    • 2x bonus Stardust from Raids

Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Mega Evolved Pokémon Debut

Mega Heracross* will make its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids!

* If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Heracross!

Event bonuses

The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Friday, April 12, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, April 13, 2024, to 8:00 p.m. PDT.

You can receive up to five additional daily Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms during the event.

You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Heracross from Mega Raids.

Once two or more Trainers successfully complete an in-person raid, more Pokémon will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 15 minutes.

Pokémon GO Web Store: Heracross Raid Ultra Ticket Box

A Heracross Raid Ultra Ticket Box will be available for US$4.99, which includes a bonus Premium Battle Pass at no additional cost! This web store deal will be available starting April 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, three days before the ticket is available in the in-game shop.

Event Exclusive Ticket

For US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to purchase a ticket to receive the following bonuses.

  • Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
  • Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
  • 50% more XP from Raid Battles
  • 2× Stardust from Raid Battles

These bonuses will be effective Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
