Overview

Regirock is as tough as rocks - which also means that it has 5 weaknesses, the most in the game among all single types. In the absence of weather, the go-to counter is once again Machamp, with Kyogre replacing the role that Moltres and Entei had against Regice. The other types that Regirock is weak to get to join the fray in the correct boosting weather.

Regirock can technically be trioed by ultra friends using teams of maxed Kyogre in rain weather, but this guide will focus on the more realistic 4 man.

Approach

Team composition

  • Kyogre and Machamp are bread and butter, with Breloom able to slot in

  • Many other Pokemon are viable in clear, cloudy, and rain weather types

Battling strategy

  • Re-entering is necessary; standard lineups shouldn’t need >1 re-entry

  • Dodging is mostly unnecessary but may help; beware of dodge glitch

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
