Raikou will still have a small edge in dps.

It'll help, but Wild Charge is what really sets Raikou apart. For the same energy it's base damage is 10 points higher while having a cooldown that's just a hair longer.

So magneton has about a 4.1% DPS difference between TS/D and CB/D.

With a 4.1% improvement zapdos would have a 15.65 DPS with TS/TB which is still lower than TS/WC, but about 5% better than Raikou with TS/TB.

Meanwhile Raikou has a 7.2% difference between TS/WC and TS/TB.

Here's the DPS rankings for hypothetical Zapdos that gets TS, WC or both (against a double weak opponent because I always forget I could use the search). Wild Charge definitely has the bigger impact, as CB/WC Zapdos out-DPSs Raikou but TS/TB Zapdos does not.

Zapdos will still be a second line player. Only a little better. And for me, hardly worth going banannas for.

How about zapdos get wc on next event? I am giving up at a lazy 40 player

it could, depending on what comes out, if theres some electric weak raid boss that has moe flying resists, llike bug, ground, or fighting, but isnt a ground type,

but that doesnt seem likely, it will still be second best to raikou, then third/fourth to magazone and electivive depending on how gen IV works out
