Wish List - DM's for fellow gym members

Yesterday I had installed my Nite into a gym that I had just taken from the clutches of Team Valor! I then waited for my fellow Instinct members to come contribute to the gym when some clown threw in a pretty high CP blissey. UGH, all that work and now I know my gym will get taken down sooner because of that.

Does anybody else wish that you could send a direct message to people in your Gym? I wouldn't have been nasty, but I would have maybe said something along the lines of, "Seriously, a big tank when we're just starting?"

Yes, I know I could have spent more time to prestige the gym, but I don't bubblestrat, so I didn't have that kind of time.

Any other wish list items along these lines?

Why would your gym be taken down sooner because of a high CP Blissey? Here they're the best deterrent, I wish people would throw high CP Blisseys in my gyms.

Yah Blissey is impossible to prestige against even with pokemon not half her cp

It's not impossible, just takes more time and potions than usual. Glass cannons like Alakazaam and Flareon are good. Shouldn't be a problem with a high CP Blissey in a gym below Lvl 8 were 2,000 prestige suffice and soon somebody with a 2,000ish Vaporeon will come along.

I like the idea of DM's but the main question would be: "Can/will Niantic ban people who write bad stuff?"

Undoubtedly there will be people who write mean and insulting things and there will probably be a way to report such things, but will Niantic have a group who deals with every complaint and really punishes people?

Yeah, can see that as a likely outcome. No doubt there will be some intra-team nastiness, but I expect rival teams will start using alt accounts to directly trash talk the opposition.

Easy thing. Just install a "ignore that trainer"-button . They could use AI to examine the postings of trainers who are ignored several times, and take away their posting-feature temporarely or permanent.

Just stick a note to the thing which marks the gym in the real world. The local instinct members once put up a sign at a gym telling me to stay away, was kinda funny

Just a thought for people...you ever considered prestiging WITHOUT getting 1000 points each time? My 2000 cp Machamp and Dragonite can take down most Blisseys, and with pokemon at 2000 cp, I can get through the whole gym, which yields a lot more prestige (in a higher level gym) than going though half the pokemon with pokemon half their cp...

The way I look at it, if you can't prestige a gym up to put your pokemon in there because of a Blissey, you have no business being in the gym. I prestiged a gym from 8 to 9 last night with a 2700 cp Blissey in the middle. It wasn't fun, but I know that gym will stand for a while.

A good way to prestige against a Blissey gym is actually just to fight it normally, but substitute the bad boys with glass cannons instead. So go with your usual gym lineup but take out the 2.9k dragonite, 2.7k garados and cap your max at 2400 or something. An all flareon squad (even ember/flamethrower) will wreck Blisseys

super high CP Blissey?
Prestige just the lower CP pkmn
The gym is way stronger, with Blissey, you should be thankful with that guy...

there is heaps worse they can do then stick a blissey on top.
you can still prestige the mons under it.

it's worse when they put a 2000 cp blissey under a couple of 2800cp snorlaxes before you get into the softies up top.

they can stick a level one clefary in the bottom spot (this is almost an argument for shaving)

All great replies. Yes, gym should be stronger with Blissey, but it deters the other local instinct players from prestiging. The only level 10 gyms that stick around here are built with snorlax, Nite, Gary and then a couple of Blissey that are added later. There's actually a group of 3 players I constantly see staying gyms with 3 maxed out Blisseys.

I just don't have that many potions and revives built up to prestige, and I know from experience that rival gyms take those down super fast.
