Will Tier 1 - 4 Raids ever going to change?
Like for real I have my fill time for Chancy and Dragonite!
Answers
For Tier 4 They could do Dragonite, Gyrados, Golem, Typhlosion, Feraligatr and Megnium. Tier 3 Scizor, Poliwrath, Espeon, Ampharos, Donphan, Victreebel. Tier 2 Chancy, Tentacruel, Wigglytuff, Slowking, Slowbro, Aerodactyl. Tier 1 Ivysaur, Warturtle, Charmeleon, Azumarill, Sudowoodo and pidgy. I think that would make the most foreseen from what we seen already.
I doubt they let you raid mons that require evolution items. It kind of defeats the purpose.
But besides that I will never get enough folks out of the house for any of that stuff except Dragonite. Most folks either already have all of that or know just enough to not waste the cost of gas and/or a pass on one.
Half of that crap you could catch on the ride to a raid here but would only bother if you needed to get rid of balls.
This argument lies on the premises of:
- your area
- already have it
- not a strong mon
Your area is much different from mine, along with others. I have gone to venusaur/charizard/blastoise raids near me and people are there. Why wouldn't they go for blissey if they would go for the starters, and even rhydon? I live in a rural/suburban mix. To say "people won't show up" based on experience in YOUR area does not reflect on the rest of the world
- to say an individual wouldn't go out for a blissey but would go for a rhydon or a third stage starter does not make sense-blastoise also has little importance in the current meta. If players are showing up for it, why wouldn't they show up for blissey, who's candies are more difficult to obtain?
- it is true that blissey isn't relevant for raids, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have an incentive to capture. Apart from the valentine's event, chansey is rare to find. Yes, they are in 10kms, but all of the their Pokémon currently available as raids bosses are also in eggs
I don't care what area you are in. A Chansey has very little real use and certainly isn't worth a dust investment right now nearly anywhere. Not even in YOUR area.
You can use a Rhydon. And he will have future use. Another evolution even.
And you're singling out Chansey. I'm talking about a wholesale trade out. Once you catch your one Chansey then what do we all do for the months until the next rotation comes?
Edit: I didn't downvote you. Valid points
It's all good man, I enjoy these discussions
Also I saw your other reply to that separate string within this thread and i'll reply to both through this reply-I see what you're saying about the tradeout and I too hope that is not the case.
I spent 15 minutes typing up reasons why Blissey may have value in the future (i.e. PvP) but chose not to post it due to the fact that it would be going off tangent from the main context of your reply. I agree that blissey doesn't have much value in Go at the moment, but I believe it may in the future.
I've played the main series and am very familiar with rhypherior. I think it would be cool if abilities were added in the future and if lightning rod were to soak up lighting attacks and increase rhyspherior's attack stat--seeyuh jolteon
My thoughts...
Tier 1 - Scyther, Onix, Porygon, Jynx
Tier 2 - Regionals! (Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan, Mr Mime, Tauros, Heracross, Corsola)
Tier 3 - Donphan, Espeon, Umbreon, Poliwrath, Raichu, Cloyster, Victreebel
Tier 4 - Dragonite, Ampharos, Omastar, Gyarados, Golem, Aerodactyl, Miltank
I feel like this would be an exciting way to introduce regionals to new areas.
Why wouldn't you spend a raid pass on chansey or blissey? All raid bosses of a given tier have have same high star and their attack and defense stats are boosted to be equivalent; since blissey has high hp, they will bring her hp to, say, that of rhydon's, and since blissey has a very high hp compared to her defense and attack stats, those two will be low relative to the rest of the tier bosses. In terms of taking them down they won't be problematic IN TERMS OF THEIR STATS, their movesets will be a different story.
I'd gladly go for an extra high Iv chansey/blissey
You are correct-they currently don't have much use, but a lot of people I still interact with don't have maxed out blissey's and could benefit either from the catch (candy, where one could argue that rare candies fulfill this role. Another could counter argue that these rare candies would prove more useful as raid boss candies)
For the second bullet point, isn't that applicable to any Pokémon? And those people irk me too man... especially when they try to defend why they want to use blissey lol
Meanwhile I have not even completed a single Level 4 Raid here because there's never enough players there when I join the lobby, I need to be at the right place, at the right time, and god knows how many other players have to do the same thing...and for me, it just doesn't happen.
My Raid experience has been:
Spending passes to find a empty or at most 2/3 person lobby, and soloing Exeggutor a whole bunch because hes the only thing I can solo that I actually want a good IV version off. :/
