Will Lugia with Hydro Pump serve as a good Moltres Anchor ?

I'd like to know this as well, because I haven't got a clue.

I mean if you already have one powered....sort of.

But with Vapes pretty easy to get or already in most trainers bag I see no reason to spend anything for any tank options really.

Wouldn't Articuno do neutral damage on Moltres? Fire resists ice, flying is weak to ice.

Vaporeon would be a better anchor. Or Rhydon with Stone edge.

You're quite right. My mistake. I'm going to edit that mistake out. Thanks for catching it.

All good. You comment enough on here that I knew you're smarter than that!

Legendary raids are a dps race. As fun as it to use a powered up legendary pokemon, Lugia actually has pretty poor attack. You're probably better off using a Vaporeon (more balanced stats and STAB on Hydro Pump) or Gyarados (super high attack makes its Hydro Pump the best in the game)

No.

Lugia have a poor attack stat. You are better off with Gyrados with HP who I believe is the strongest water attacker with HP+STAB in the game and Vaporeon with WG/AT or HP which again can do some serious damage while resisting.

Moltres raids will be over as quick as tyranitar raids when trainers use Machamp and Vaperon.

Moltres has more CP than Articuno, but falls easier. Stop trying to build a team, concentrate on the size of your raid.

If you've played a lot, you have multiple water Pokémon to destroy Moltres. It falls quite quickly.

Nah, build a team, but chances are you won't have to build very much. One or two Golems, one or two Omanstar, a T-Tar and strong Vapes (that, yes, chances are you've had from the old gym days) and you're good.

Outside of typing, take your biggest tanks to every raid, as long as, you have numbers. These "team building" posts make me laugh. If you have 12-20 people, the types don't matter outside type strength.

Just kill it!

So this is why when I'm in a Lugia raid with 20 trainers 5 trainers at minimum are using nothing but blissey tanks.
