Why are the new pokemon so ridiculously and impossibly hard to get?

It's like they don't even want you to get them. Good god Finneon is not as rare as Dragonite, it's just a scrub Pokemon. Niantic has pushed themselves to the limit of shit in this Gen IV release and it shows.

It keeps the players looking to complete the pokedex's active. Only reason I see.

Why must everything be so easy to get?

We live in a world of instant gratification. Remeber how pissed people were because you have to do daily tasks to get Celebi? I still do not have a Meltan. Not the end of the world. I will get it when I get it. I also had a hard time getting Sinnoh stones. Now I have 4 and am considering what I want to evolve. The game should work in ebbs and flows but people do not want it to go that way. Oh well.

Finneon, Buizel, Croagunk, Bronzor and Skorupi are just scrub trash anywhere other than in Pokemon Go. Good god. They do not deserve to be as rare as Bagon or Dragonite.

I have caught a few Croagunk and Skorupi in the wild, without any assistance from SGPokeMap.

Same here - only one Bronsor so far but enough Croagunk to evolve into Toxicroak this morning and about three Skorupi. Not seen a single Dragonite or Bagon since the new batch were released so in my area, at least, they're unusual sightings bt not impossible to find or as rare as the OP's examples.

I'm happy having to search for less common species - the game would be pretty dull if everything was always easily available.

It's not about deserve. Some pokemon are rare and effective in combat. Some are common and effective in combat. Some are common and not effective in combat. And of course, some are rare and not effective in combat. Those are the ones collectors seek. Might I offer Unown as another in this group? I've never seen one in the wild, got one in trade.

That's how it is. Live with it, or quit the game.

I've not got any of the new ones other than Snover. I've missed several on the nearby because omg!life.

It gives me something to keep hunting - otherwise I'm only missing Luxio, regionals and a couple of stones.

Wait until the holiday event is over it should be much easier to catch then! Most of the pokemon spawning now are snorunts and delibirds once they're gone it should be much easier to find them. Also the new pokemons realsed are dex fillers, of course everyone wants to catch them but they're not meta relevant in anyway!

Calm your tits, kiddo, it‘s not like you get an amazing reward for completing the dex in PoGo anyways. Also, just in case it slipped your mind, there‘s currently an event going on where more Ice Pokemon spawn, so what will happen? Right, said Ice Pokemon take more spawns, thus making other Pokemon obviously rarer

Yeah, it's basically to make people walk more (or drive in a car very slowly through a parking lot) and to challenge the longtime players that pretty much have everything. Of the Pokemon you listed, only one may have a use, Toxicroak, and that's against DG Blissey, or as an early game stepping stone. (if you were lucky and hatched 3 Croagunk before you got 125 Machop Candy of 50 Makuhita Candy)

It's almost like they want us to keep playing the game, hunting for things, and not have all of the new Mons as soon as they come out. This has been true with each generation. Mons like Chansey and Tangela were stupidly rare in Gen 1 (and neither were particularly useful at the time with the exception of prestiging against Vaporeon in gyms with Tangela).

They ARE incredibly hard to find in the wild, I have only found one of them without weather boost (Skorupi). However don't be too upset because only Toxicroak is not a plain dex filler: even then it is only a filler for your Fighting or Poison teams.
