What's your Kyogre catch rate?
I was pretty lucky with Groudon (9 caught in 16 raids; 56%), while Suicune was 50% (but I only did two raids, so that's probably not significant). Prior to Suicune, I had no legendary raid opportunity.
But Kyogre? Caught the second and forth, but none since in 8 total raids; i.e., 25%. He's supposedly easier to catch now, but not in my case... had more luck before the upgrade. The IV's aren't great, either (78, 80%), but I don't know if I'll get another and it could be worse. I shouldn't complain, I know, as many (and me in the recent past) are unable to even do legendary raids... but it's still frustrating.
Just wondering how others are doing with Kyogre (and what was your catch rate for Groudon and other legendaries?)
Thanks! I swear RNG determines that he sometimes just can't be caught (but that might just be an excuse ;)

I like the way u/Jordan organized their list and they have the same name as me so I'm doing that too now:
Articuno: 10/14 [71.4%] = 5.8% of total T5s
Moltres: 7/9 [77.8%] = 3.7% of total T5s
Zapdos: 10/15 [66.7%] = 6.2% of total T5s
Lugia: 11/16 [68.8%] = 6.6% of total T5s
Raikou: 17/28 [60.7%] = 11.6% of total T5s
Entei: 24/33 [72.7%] = 13.7% of total T5s
Suicune: 18/28 [64.3%] = 11.6% of total T5s
Ho-Oh: 22/23 [95.6%] = 9.6% of total T5s
Groudon: 26/30 [86.7%] = 12.4% of total T5s
Kyogre: 25/40 [62.5%] = 16.6% of total T5s
Mewtwo: 5/5 [100%] = 2.1% of total T5s
Total Legendary Catch Rate: 72.6%
Because I love bringing this out here are the stats of my alt (Gfs) account. Very low level, weak mons, low Golden Razz Berry supply, and smallest team (Valor) in my area so usually doesn't get many damage balls:
Articuno: 4/4 [100.0%] = 6.3% of T5s
Moltres: 2/6 [33.3%] = 9.5% of T5s
Zapdos: 3/8 [37.5%] = 12.7% of T5s
Lugia: 3/6 [50.0%] = 9.5% of T5s
Raikou: 1/3 [33.3%] = 4.8% of T5s
Entei: 2/7 [28.6%] = 11.1% of T5s
Suicune: 1/2 [50.0%] = 3.2% of T5s
Ho-Oh: 1/3 [33.3%] = 4.8% of T5s
Groudon: 2/5 [40.0%] = 7.9% of T5s
Kyogre: 11/14 [78.6%] = 22.2% of T5s
Mewtwo: 4/5 [80.0%] = 7.9% of T5s
Total Legendary Catch Rate: 54.0%
Not super high but wth is with her Kyogre catch rate lol
Articuno: seen 27, caught 14
Zapdos: seen 20, caught 13
Moltres: seen 24, caught 12
Raikou: seen 38, caught 18
Entei: seen 46, caught 24
Suicune: seen 39, caught 26
Lugia: seen 6, caught 3
Ho-oh: seen 38, caught 29
Groudon: seen 35, caught 21
Kyogre: seen 31, caught 25
Mewtwo: haven't encountered yet
Catch rates aren't too bad. Moltres was easily the hardest for me to deal with, though. Articuno also gave me a lot of trouble, as well as Raikou and Entei.
47/60 on Kyogre. Are you throwing consistent great or excellent curves, with golden razz every time? If you aren't throwing curves, and if you aren't hitting consistent greats, you HAVE to. No air balls, either. Only throw when he's in the center and attacking. NEVER any other time. If you have to sit there waiting for 5 minutes for the animation, then sit there and wait. It will pay off. Even if you're only getting 7 balls per raid, your catch rate should still be over 50%. Also, FYI, he is not easier to catch now, but he is easier to hit now that he stands closer and has a larger hitbox/circle. Good luck!
Kyogre 13/17
Groudon 18/25
Since the beasts I’ve managed at least 70-80% on legendaries; but I was much lower on the birds (40%) on moltres.
The difference is that now I won’t throw a ball unless I’m (mostly) positive that it’ll be a great curve. Like The Weatherman said, be patient even if it takes 5 minutes of waiting per throw.
Articuno 9/14 64%
Zapdos 9/19 47%
Moltres 9/20 45%
Mewtwo 1/1 100%
Raikou 28/42 67%
Entei 8/12 67%
Suicune 6/11 55%
Lugia 10/24 42%
Ho-Oh 22/26 85%
Kyogre 18/23 78%
Groudon 17/27 63%
Overall 137/219 63%
Being able to throw consistent curve greats into any of the three positions for Kyogre helps but there's definitely lots of luck there since its my second highest catch rate (not counting Mewtwo).
Groundon was about 80%.
Kyogre so far about 60%.
I think my catch rate was better before the update also. It was harder to hit, but when I did I frequently would catch and still have most of my balls remaining. Now it is easier to hit, but it keeps breaking out and I am down to the last few balls if/when I do finally catch it.
I'm two out of seven. The first six tries were in the first few days Kyogre was out, and after hearing all the horror stories about how hard it was to even get the ball in the circle, I decided to use the "L" throw, which makes it easy to get the ball in the circle, but lowers the catch rate (no curveball bonus). My main concern was to make sure I caught at least one Kyogre for the dex entry, and I figured if I kept getting the ball in the circle, I would eventually catch one. I think I caught the first one on my fourth Kyogre raid, and then failed two more times in those early days.
Yesterday, I tried again for the first time in about 10 days, and, having read that the Kyogre is now closer, and that it is an easier throw, I did my standard curveball, and caught him with a "great" throw on the first ball. I was rewarded with a reverse-perfect 67% CP 2236 10/10/10 Kyogre to go with my 10/10/10 Mewtwo.
I can't imagine there are too many of us who don't yet have our silver "Battle Legend" badge, yet have two 10/10/10 legendaries. And for those who think 10/10/10 is somehow unique or "cool," I'd much rather have an equally unique 14/14/14, or 13/13/13, or even a 14/12/11 for that matter.
Actually, I have only a bronze battle legend badge (26 so far... late start in late November, when I finally got on the city Discord). That may be why I don't really care what their IV's are - they are legendaries, after all, and the base stats speak for themselves - but I would like to catch more :)
It just seems harder to catch with a run of excellent throws than the others. Groudon was the easiest for me to catch, as I hit it with an excellent on almost every throw, and it was usually caught in the first three balls. I'm now able to hit Kyogre with excellent throws most every time as well, but I either lose it or catch it with one of my last balls. (Ironically, the one I caught yesterday was with my only poor throw after it escaped from a run of 8 excellents, so an excellent isn't required to catch it.)
Additionally, I think patience plays a role in the difficulty. I only trust my muscle memory to hit it when it's in the center of the screen. Many times, that takes long periods of waiting for it to move from the sides. Many might become impatient or lose focus while waiting for the Kyogre to move, resulting in poor or missed throws. I know I did at first.
