Weird EX invites

Today I got it from a place i’ve only raided once; my second Articuno last summer.

So Yeah. Really random system.

4th in a row...soloed a Vape there once

I received an invite at a gym with zero points. No raid, no defending hours, no berries.

I also got one for a gym from months ago. My first EX pass too. I’m guessing Niantic has gotten the message that many people are frustrated and are responding by giving out more passes than usual? I wonder how many of these “weird” invites are to trainers who hadn’t received a pass yet.

No one could honestly try and design a system this bad. I can't fathom what the development team is thinking. So many people got passes today that they literally can't get to; meanwhile, dedicated raiders continue to get spurned.

Never raided in that gym, i've only placed 1 Pokemon and fed it once to reach it's max CP and left. That was 4 months ago.
That's my 5th pass, i have 2 mewtwo, could'nt do 1, and have 2 ex-passes in my bag

I also got a pass from a gym only visited once. It's my first and I am worried will anybody show up to these weired passes.

Niantic told us how to improve our chances of getting an EX invite, but I'm pretty sure that "just spin a gym once in another country" was one way to do it and that seems to have happened to some players. I'm sure many want that Mewtwo, but taking a trip to another country to get it.....not so sure.

It really seems like something went really wrong this time. Maybe something to do with the new update and the login problems earlier today.

Let's see if Niantic will just go with it this time or withdraw all passes for this time.

Well, very unlikely someone playing two characters will get the same place. Same could go for a family though, dad gets one 30 min in one direction and maybe wife or kid gets one 20 minutes in the other direction. They could just be exaggerating the "play in a park" theme, whether it be raiding at a usual EX park or even a pass just for spinning at the right random park.***Rejoice: Never have to hear about S2 cells ever again...they started giving more passes and having more EX raids, it wasn't your analytics

I got a pass! At a Sprint gym that I never raided at. I battled it a few times over the course of a half hour enough to get a bronze badge. The gym is an hour away and the raid is on my wife's birthday. For the sake of my marriage, I will have to pass on this Mewtwo :(

Really weird. Got one for a gym a two hours drive away.
It seems I only spun the gym once. Never did a Raid or put a Mon in there. I not even fed a berry.

They have lost their collective minds.

First they stole my first pass (Christmas day) and gave me totally inadequate "compensation".... now, instead of giving me a pass for a popular gym I have raided at I get one.... for a remote state park where I only placed a defender (no raids) and the odds of enough others showing up are.... well, remote.

WTF, Niantic?! You're trying hard to run me off.... right before I reach 40. A more screwed up system is unthinkable.

I am in the club as well, I received my First Ex Raid pass for a gym visited one weekend in August, 8 hour drive from where I live. Niantic shouldn't punish players spoofing at such an occasion, but I don't think MewTwo is worth the effort..
