Update: EX complaint

After following user aSp’s suggestion of complaining about the EX raids in a bug report, I was surprised to actually get a response. As you can see, as long as you know which gyms will get the EX pass and you raid at them all the time, you’ll (maybe) get one!

Just thought it was amusing that I actually got a response (if a vacuous one) when the site tells you explicitly not to expect one.

But the whole problem is we don't know what gyms an EX raid will be at until after the passes are sent out.

We don’t know what gym it will be hosted.
And when a gym is chosen, it’s a random sample of the last X of players who raided at that gym. For some fringe gyms that no one goes to, it could go back as far as month+, and for gyms at stripe malls with frequent raids, it could go back at most a week.

My town of 30 gyms has never received one single EX pass ever. Our active raiders are quickly drifting away.

My town of 173 gyms with a great, large active group of hundreds of raiders has recieved one ex invite total.

That's just crazy.

I also raid in another town with 20 gyms and no invites (for anyone) and I raid in a urban area of a fairly large metro area and there haven’t been any ex raids in maybe a 5+mile radius.

I’ve done 247 legendaries but I know people who have done ~800 who haven’t recieved one.

I got the exact same response, weird choice of words with “earn” and another because no one has earned one and I havent recieved one. My follow up question was to ask them where the next ex raids would be.

I got the same response...so it appears just a copy/paste response.

The part I can't understand is that they empathise with you that you have not got one...and then tell you that you may get ANOTHER one.

How exactly do you get 'another' when you haven't had one at all???!!!?!!?

EDIT I have also responded to mine, so perhaps we will see more.
I have asked them to tell me what gyms I can expect to see EX raids at in the future so I don't waste my time effort and money - I explained that without this information, then their response almost appears to mock their customers.
It will be interesting to see the response.
