Tyrogue Evolution

I recently hatched a Tyrogue...and have a lot of Tyrogue candy from Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.

I want to evolve Hitmontop obviously, and was wondering if there is a trick to it - has it been found.

The one I have has 15 to attack...so I suspect it will become a Hitmonchan - and I suspect I will need one with balanced att/strength (or highest stat of stamina, to keep the odds equal for all 3 evolutions) to get Hitmontop.

Does anyone know if this is the case...or if there is any way to guarantee Hitmontop?

I might hold off until I can either test a few at the same time...or someone beats me to testing it ;-)

Rumor has it that its based on the HP IV stat being the highest to evolve to Hitmontop

Rumour has it that Tyrogue will evolve into:
Hitmonlee when Attack is the highest stat.
Himonchan when Defense is the highest stat.
Hitmontop when Stamina is the highest stat.

Successfully evolved a 89% IV Hitmontop just now and Stamina is his highest stat (14/11/15). Not sure what will happen if stats are equal.
