Training with IVs 0/15/0, 0/15/15

Would ratios similar to those (as HP/Atk/Def) be advantageous over a balanced mix (to keep CP lower) for a Pokemon used exclusively in gym training? If no dodging is involved, does it eliminate any potential attack-heavy advantage?

Or, does everything depend more on which Pokemon is in question? I am deciding whether to evolve or transfer:
0/15/1 Eevee
0/15/13 Growlithe
0/15/15 Omanyte
1/15/15 Kabuto

Eevee candies are easy to come by, but I wouldn't want to mismanage the others.

I try to go with high attack and low def/sta on my training mons when I have a choice. The reasoning is that optimally I want to dodge everything and I also want to do the highest damage output while having the lowest cp possible. 15def and sta doesnt mean you dont have to dodge.
In practice tho I mainly try to target a CP range cuz I want the CP to be right and dont want to use any stardust on trainers. I was more anal about this when I was a lower level, nowadays i rarely check iv's on trainers. But in the end moveset and typing are gonna have a much greater impact assuming your CP is right and your getting the max prestige per battle.
Try an experiment evolve two mons one with 15 def and 15 sta and one with 0 and 0. I doubt you will you could tell the difference.

Attack counts double when calculating CP, didn't do any math but my gut feeling tells me a 15/0/15 would have the best relation of actual combat power to CP value

Huh, I would think it would be the opposite: you'd want the fewest points in attack as possible (so, a 0/15/15 would be ideal). My thinking is that since the ATK IV is over-represented in the CP calculation, you get more "bang for your buck" by choosing DEF and STA stats - in other words, you get more overall stat points while keeping your CP lower by choosing DEF and STA.

Of course, the downside of this is that you'll be KOing the defending pokemon a bit slower, but it shouldn't be more than a few seconds slower.

My experience attack inflates CP too much and pokemon with high atrack faired worse as a prestiger than those with high stamina.

Remeber, by dodging you ate effectively quadrupling your health, so having the highest effective health is the best. Before the CP update my 1500 Arcanine prestiger were ranked Omastar>Vaporeon>Golduck>Starmie
