Togekiss, What?

I think CD is still possible. Togepi shiny is released, but being a baby Pokemon it is extremely rare. They can still relese a shiny togetic after they already released some shiny evolved forms.

If Niantic locks the only Fairy-type quick move (after 4 generations) behind a community day event, I'll be extremely disappointed...but not surprised. For whatever reason, it seems Niantic really doesn't want Fairies to have their own quick move, because this would have been the time to do it.

I'm not expecting all of the evolutions from Gen1-3 pokemon to be in the first wave of Gen4 pokemon. If the first wave fits with the Halloween event like Gen3 last year, then probably only Honchkrow, Mismagius, Gliscor, Weavile, and Dusknoir.

I don't know why Niantic has not done anything about fairy moves yet, but I expect there is still time to at least add Fairy Wind before Togekiss becomes available.

Let's just accept that fairies will continue to be useless in gen 4, thanks to Niantics decision not to put in a fairy quick move.

I guess we'll have to wait till there's a ralts community day. Well done Niantic.

If fairy wing's not added, it will hae the same fate as gardevoir, hard machamp counter in raids and gyms. If given satisfactory flying moves, it could become a good bug coutner with its double resistance. But yeah....looks pretty bleak for togekiss

I think its more lilely to get a fairy wind togekiss CD than a massive game altering Ralts fairy fast move CD

Speculation is speculation.
Niantic showed us a list of moves. They knew people would data mine. They may or may not be the final moves coming. They may also release waves of pokemon with their moves and then add extra moves with the next wave of pokemon.

Before we knew of the rework, Togekiss had more potential as a defender than an attacker. 225 base attack is a bit low, most top DPS mons are a fair bit higher. In comparison the good bulk with double resistance to fighting and dragon seemed tailor-made for the defender meta. But all bets are off now that we don't know what the meta will look like after the rework.

I really don't think a pure fairy-type attacker is that important to have anyway, because other types cover all of its targets better. You'd need a fairy with very good stats and a good moveset for it to make any actual meta waves.

Again, Togekiss is very likely to get air slash. It'll be just fine.
