Time to power up and gain candies for relevant Mon for gen IV?

Like Rhydon, Magmar, Megaton, and Piloswine.

Only power up if you have a use for them now. Otherwise, just stockpile their candy. With how badly Niantic messed up a lot of available moves for Gen3 pokemon, it is not worth spending resources until we know what moves the evolutions get.

I agree with the advice but really gen 3 pokemon weren't any worse off in regards to movesets than the previous generations. There aren't many potentially relevant pokemon in the entire generation in the first place and a fair amount of the ones that have good stats got stellar movesets or are still near the top of their type with less-than-stellar movesets.

Logged in to say this, but you got there first. Never power up anything until you know what its next evolution's moves are going to be.

I’ve been stocking up on Rhyhorn candies since Rhydons were only so useful anyways and Magneton for the same reason. The hard candies to not use are probably mons that aren’t affected by Gen 4 anyways imo. No point powering up Roselia, almost all of the ones with new higher evolutions are non evolutions now or will just have baby forms which would be hatched anyways. The only thing I’d might do is evolve any Chanseys now to avoid having potentially using 100 instead of 50 but that’s so trivial it doesn’t matter.

I'd stockpile candies, im currently walking a Togepi because its the only pokemon with hopes of a fairy double set, after that im going to focus Swinub because it's going to be one of the best ice attackers, Rhydon and electabuzz are both current raid bosses so i'd use those to get candies and high IV/level ones of those species
