There needs to be a way to stop fleeing. If there is none, THERE IS NO HOPE!

Seriously there needs to be a way to stop the abomination known as fleeing.

No matter what berry or what ball you use, no matter how well you throw, there is NOTHING AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you can do against the almighty FLEEING BULLSHIT.

This magcargo just instantly fled after i fed 1 grb then one ultra curve. This is not rng, this is bullshit. There is a fine line between rng and bullshit, and it's pretty evident fleeing on first throw after GRB PLUS ULTRA is bullshit.

GRB needs to be able to stop fleeing because there is nothing other than forseeable future of community day exclusive legendaries that are worse than the tragedy that you've pulled out your best and no matter what you do you cannot catch some pokemon. There is also ZERO recourse when a pokemon flees, and i believe that you can soon pay coins to recourse a fled pokemon.

Aside of community day exclusive legendaries, this is the worst insanity that is killing this game.

I can't even tell if this post is a meme or not.

this post is just one of Mr-ex777's thrice-daily meltdowns. He's got the maturity of a pampered poodle.

Lol, why were you using a grb? ....
.... on a macargo...?
Either way, the Nanab berry is what helps prevent 'the abomination' of fleeing...

Also, you didn't mention if actually landed it in the circle :)
I can admit I've also made some careless throws with ultra balls, and need to remind myself that balls are free.

Note: The thought of missing out on a 100% (aprx. lvl 25?) macargo has almost brought me to tears a couple of times

I think what he's referring to is when every so often a wild Pokémon will always flee on the first ball you throw, regardless of what level the Pokémon is, what balls and berries you use, and how good your throw is. I've experienced even level 1 Pidgey and Rattata instantly fleeing, and have also felt the pain of a max IV fleeing from me as well as a result.

A soft ban has nothing to do with it. Pokemon of all species and levels will sometimes flee. It's all part of the RNG and happens in the main games, too.

I was talking about when every Pokemon flees on the first ball specifically, but yes they do. Except encounters of course.

Agreed it can be slightly frustrating and usually surprising (it also randomly happens to me) even more frustrating if someone I'm with catches that pokemon & it is 100%..., but there should always be a chance of fleeing. This gives more value to the ones you catch?
We can increase our catch rate chances by various means, but if you totally guarantee catching, you take away some of the fun of playing in my opinion..
(like shooting fish in a barrel, instead of fishing)

The catchphrase is 'gotta catch em all', not 'you can & will catch em all'

Please don't encourage this guy. He just wants to rant ... or worse. He has had some odd posts recently and probably more to come.

Not really, but your question says it all...
I will fly over the cuckoo's nest at my own risk :) Haha

Do your research.

It happens in the main games too.

Unless you're repeatedly hitting excellent curve throws, then your post is inaccurate and there absolutely is more you can do to improve your catch odds.

More importantly though, the flee mechanic is part of the game, plain and simple. The whole point of it is to give the sense of some risk (between, say, using a Pinap berry or a GR) and make those curved excellent throws count for something. If you're looking for every encounter in the game to be a guaranteed catch, then you're looking at this all wrong.

The flee mechanic isn't going anywhere. If it bothers you this much, then I'm going to suggest again that you consider quitting. You truly don't seem to enjoy a single thing about this game.

There HAS been something done about it - raid pokemon will NOT flee until you've used up all of your premier balls.

While it doesn't go back and change the game logic of wild-caught pokemon (and it no doubt sucks to drive for 20min to get to that local-chat-reported 100% pokemon [e.g. machop or whatever] and golden-razz ultra ball excellent curve throw at it, only for it to run away after it breaks from the first ball [meanwhile the kids nearby pinap+poke ball with no curve and missed the circle and caught it]), they at least made it right for 90% of the pokemon that matter: legendaries (and Tyranitar).

And while someone can still catch a legendary with a pinap and regular throw, while you miss it with golden razz excellent curveballs - it's FAR more often the case that you'll be successful in catching your raid pokemon if you're using goldens and making proper throws, while using optimal attackers to earn as many balls as possible. And while that will never be consolation to the guy that gets 11+ premier balls and makes every throw a golden excellent curve and still misses his first hundo legendary - it's at least a LOT more fair than the way wild pokemon are. And I'm fine with that, because it's incredibly unlikely that you're going to even find that amazing wild pokemon in the first place.

The Pokemon run away because they do not want such a terrible trainer.

Why are you sad about a macargo? Was it a special one? Like in the anime?

Have you considered the Pokemon don't want Mr. "This game will literally lead to rape and murder" as their trainer? I'd dip out too if I was that lava slug.

This was before the triple dust event?

Catch rates go down and flee rate up during these events. This event seems even more so
