Steel Wing Dragonite

I hate to do this again and again, but I've noticed that Steel Wing Dragonite wasn't mentioned even once on "The Best Raid Boss Counters", even when dragon is neutral and steel is SE!
Is steel wing really that bad, when it has decent speed (much faster than DT, not sub-par speed as shown on Dragonite page) and highest base attack DPS?
So actually, how does SW compare to DT and DB for offense? I have a feeling so many people simply trash SW because they haven't actually bothered trying it before!
Though I know, steel is out of the question for fire and water bosses.

Rhydon counter: water and grass
T-rex counter: fighting
There is no harm to bring Sw-nite, but there are better specialist out there.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with steel wing. It actually is one of the dps heavier quick moves. Unfortunately, it is only super effective against ice, rock, and fairy. Fairy types aren't relevant at this point, the current ice types also tend to be paired with water typing (water resists steel so it delivers neutral damage), and as quickattack has mentioned the rock types rhydon, golem, and tyranitar each have their own double weaknesses to other typings, which makes SW less efficient. It is still a solid option!

Who would use a Dragonite against any ice type at the first place? Hopefully when PVP comes out, SW/DC will be a nasty surprise for those using rock types or Piloswine. DC still hurts dragon types.
Steel wing was meant for reverse countering Dragonite weaknesses, but dual water typing on Lapras and Cloyster makes it useless.

I like my steel wing + dragon claw dnites
its good combination for dodging

DB/DC is even better for dodging.
Even then, SW/DC will still have some nasty type coverage in PVP or when new fairy types are released, and DC being hard to dodge helps too on defence if it ever matters again.

The thing about Dragonite is that its a decent 4-5-6 spot filler depending on how many of best counters you have

It's also a good generalist for a Gym if you don't want to swap attackers.

One of my main complaints right now with PMG is its horrible swapping attackers
