Stardust from Special Quest Stages

Today, I completed stage 4 of the special quest right before I was going to do a raid. So before I claimed the reward, I popped a star piece, hoping to get 6000 dust instead of 4000. No such luck, just got the 4000, but I did get the 50% bonus dust for the raid and catches I made for the next half hour.

Is this likely because I had already finished the quest stage, so the dust reward was set, even if not issued, or does the dust from these things not get buffed by the star piece? Probably going to finish the next state tomorrow, will try to pop the star piece before I catch the last Ghost, and see if I get the bonus that way.

Edit: Per gamepress, I'll get 4000 dust, 3 lures, and 20 great balls for completing stage 5 (Catch a Ditto, Make 20 Great Throws, Catch 10 Ghost-type Pokemon). But according to my screen, in game, I'll get a Premium Raid Pass, a Lucky Egg, and 15 Revives. Which is right, or both? (Rooting for both). I do remember that the stage 4 rewards did include 4000 dust, I got that (but not 6000). Suspect that the issue is a repeat of the stage 4 rewards for stage 5. If the game has it right, I'll have to wait until stage 6 when I evolve a Magikarp to get more dust and do this test.
