Stale Raid bosses
Can we please f'n retire Aggron, Absol, Mawile and Tyranitar from Raids. PLEASE? I'm beyond sick of them and Machamp too for that matter. Seriously.....it's been a year or more

Aggron needs to retire from raids and never come back.
I miss T1 raids having evolved Pokemon. Sure they still went down easy but it was way more substantial than relegating it to the "only do this for a stage 1 shiny chance" tier. The Gen 4 additions don't even have that going for them other than Shinx.
Eh. Tyranitar is too useful right now to retire, and it's one of the few raid bosses that still gets 10-15 people out on short notice. I did one last night, for example, that was weather boosted and within 10min of hatch there were 15 people there. We don't even get 10 people to a Mewtwo raid anymore, and forget anything else.
Absol and Mawile need to stay as raid bosses until we can reliably get them somewhere else (like a constant Research task), since they're only available from Raids.
But it would be nice to get a more diverse roster of Raid Bosses.
Think about it from the PoV of a new player. Maybe around level 25 (which takes three weeks for a casual player these days, with friends and raids). Are you gonna cruise around for hours looking for a Machop, hope it has good IVs, and then evolve it twice (125 candy) to get the first member of your six member Tyranitar team, or are you gonna do some Machamp raids with a few friends, and get 3 evolved ones with minimum IVs of 10/10/10. Obviously the latter. Then, once you have 6 good Machamps, you can do Ttar raids.
Niantic is very correct to consider players at EVERY stage of development, including very new players. And new players absolutely need certain raids available most of the time. Imagine having to play with no Machamps, no Hariyamas, and no chance of getting them. Fighting in a gym and taking on Blissey with maxed out Brelooms, Mankeys, etc. Doesn't sound fun to me.
Hence certain raid mon will almost always be in rotation.
Aggron''s back? huh, wouldn't have expected that.
Asol and mawile are staying because they are raid exclusives, and Machamp gives a purpose to psychic set mewtwo, who would be useless without the raid boss as we saw. Tyrantiar i'm ok with, a full SD squad and 10 candy a piece, 20 if you pinab/silver pinab on a stupid rare pokemon is soemthign im not complaining about.
But I do agree I would like some new raids in rotation, I agree agron should go, but perhaps when gen 4 fully launches, we'll see newer bosses.
Mawile and Absol are needed because there’s no other way to get them and their raids really aren’t that common. I don’t like that there’s fully evolved Pokémon in gyms, and it could be interesting to have first or second stage Pokémon to be in tier 3 or 4 raids. That could open up raids for Bagon or Shelgon, Dratini could come back, or Dragonair, Larvitar or Pupitar, etc.
I'm the opposite, I really dislike first forms, and am mildly okay with second forms, in the raids.
If it's not a final evolution it generally doesn't have stats to be a big challenge.
If it's a first form, it doesn't give enough candy to be worthwhile.
I'm not burning a pass on a lower tier raid, giving up better rare candy and charge TM odds in addition to legendary candy, just to get 3 candy (or 6) for a somewhat rare Pokemon. 5 (or 10) is not bad, but still doesn't compare to 10/20.
I'd do a kirlia raid with my free pass if it was nearby. I wouldn't do a dratini raid unless it was the end of the day and I knew I wasn't going to get to use the free pass otherwise. I'll use a premium pass on a Tyranitar.
If they bring out a raid from the Salamance or Garchomp family, I REALLY hope it's the final form...
