Oh damn time to get good IVd Kirlias for the future Gallade

Gallade may not be that good, it doesnt have access to the good fighting moves, but Gardevoir's more likely the useful of the two, more legendaries are weak to fairy, plus its literally the ONLY good fairy type in the game, togekiss' viability is yet to be revealed

I just realized he does not get Dynamic Punch. That is such a bummer, but at least Kirlia evolves into Gardevoir and like you said Garde is the fairy of the game.

Yeah, its sad, but true, unless it gets like drain punch or something it wont be too good as a fighting type.

Gardevoir's the real prize, unless Togekiss gets a double fairy set. I'm SO glad they made kirlia a raid, I think its to make up for Ralts not being in the egg pool

bit annoying. New pokemons are tier 4 A-Marowak and tier 3 A-Raichu.

Without running sims seems to me best counters will be Gengar and tyranitar... again.

Give it 24 hours. All the counters will be clearly defined and documented. Ttar is gonna be a good raider for quite some time to come.

Games getting a bit boring though. Just the same thing over and over again.

IVs should play a bigger part of the game. If a good IV kingdra/electrode/skarmory/milotic could be on par with tyranitar/dragonite/blissey the game would be a lot more broader. Its still difficult to find a good IV electrode/skarmory so it wouldn't make the game easy.

Instead: same team as usual

I do not agree with increasing the importance of IV, people already treat it as the most important thing regarding a pokemon. When it actually only plays a minor roll after species, typing, move set and level are set.

But I certainly agree that the counters need to be more varied. Making more mons viable should be a priority at Niantic, not as present slowly reducing them.

IVs are already a glorified pissing contest, to give them significant meaning would make it worse. Not to mention, if IVs could become large enough to make Pokemon like Kingdra/Electrode/Skarmor/Milotic compete with a standard Tyranitar/Dragonite/Blissey then imagine those last three with IVs as high as the first four. People wouldn't stop using the powerhouses, they'd just find higher-IV ones again.

What I've seen mentioned before as an interesting idea would be to adjust power-up costs relative to the Pokemon's base stat total - why does a Sandslash cost the same to power up as Groudon? The main series already does this with different exp. curves from one Pokemon to the next. Maybe some Pokemon would be considered more useful with lesser dust/candy costs. Resources are already a consideration with legendaries since rare candy supplies can be harder to stockpile compared to individual candy supplies.

That's pretty much it, although Kyogre is better against A-Marowak than Tyranitar. Top ghost, dark and water against Marowak, top ghost, dark, bug and ground against Raichu.

Agreed, but it is understandable why they dont make them too varied, if people spend all this time preparing for say soemthing like Rhydon with grass types, then all the raids went to something like poison, fire and bug, they're get screwed over, they keep the raids similar to not make players work wasted, but I agree, it should be more varied

Its just like ith machamp being good against most raids, I like the fact that most raids are weak to shared types/have a common counter, so if you can counter one, you can have an easier time with others

But I agree, it does decrease the diversity in the raid bosses, the alolan's arent too good, save for Eggtree

Super hype for Flareon, I didn't have a Golem team for soloing it the first time so will definitely try that now.
Kirlia is also nice, surprised they gave us such a valuable tier 2. I may even use some of my premium passes again because I will do every Kirlia raid that I see.

It's probably because Ralts is Dratini levels of rarity, but unlike dratini, it cannot be hatched, that and becaue Galade and Gardevoir's the only good fairy type they may be taking it easy on us because gen IV's known for its dragons

But that's what's so contradictory with Niantic. 2 of the most valuable pokemon in the game (Tyranitar and Machamp) have been constant raid bosses, but they don't want us stocking up on fairies, because dragons?

Yeah honestly this might be why they took Ralts out from the egg pool in the first place. Demand for Ralts candy has probably been building up for a lot of people and now they can reliably get them with raid passes. Either way I'm not complaining, it's a fantastic option to have in the lineup.

Donphan as a T3! That one's gonna be a real challenge, can't wait

I was just checking that it might be possible with 6 unique attackers and no Kyogre but it's going to be super close. I haven't been this hyped for solo raids since the Hitmons!

Good stuff!

In a perfect world they would switch Alolan Eggy to T3 and Raichu to T2 and do A. Marowak T3.

Cant wait to Solo Donphan tommorrow

Alolan marowak gonna be a huge challenge for duo...

Donphan is challenging also for T3 solo

This is an interesting raid lineup for sure. Hilariously enough every tier EXCEPT legendary has something for everyone. Can't wait to raid the new Alolans as well as every Kirlia I see.

Double candy for every catch and Kyrlia as T2 raids boss, meaning 10 easy solos can grant you a new Gardevoir? Neat!

I wonder if Alolan Raichu can be shiny. Since I have shiny normal raichu it shows the shiny Alolan form too, as if I had caught it. So the shiny skin exists at least...
