Snorlax event for Japan (increased spawns) 3/4/17 - 3/13/17

So, news and rumors are rumbling about this event starting tomorrow and will last for about a week in Japan due to the earthquake.

After the last lapris event, Lapris got nerfed.
Now a Snorlax event, is Snorlax the next to get nerfed?

Also, this means now almost everyone will have a snorlax but at least they wont have a legacy BS Snorlax :)

Thoughts!?

Pretty cool I think. How much increased are we talking?

Not fair.

Well... you can have an earthquake destroy your house, then pay niantic a few millions to have an event there to drive tourism.

I don't envy local players for this.

I doubt it. Niantic changed the formula for all pokemon and left. Lapras out so it wouldn't be nerfed until recently. Unless there is another massive rebalance (which is possible), I doubt snorlax will be downgraded.

I agree. They will never nerf 1 pokemon specificly, but rather change the cp of every pokemon at the same time.

Spoofers, at your mark!

They should allow these players to get the legacy Body Slam movesets ... would be a nice touch.

LMAO!!

I never laughed so hard. Classic trolling at its best!

I thought they made it so a Pokémon's base stats from the originals got reflected into Attack, Stamina and Defense? I don't think a change is likely

This event is going to be a disaster for the game, unless Niantic starts to BAN cheaters and spoofers again!

After the last Lapras event...they DIDN'T adjust the Lapras CP calculation.
The OP claims after the event they nerfed it - but in actual fact, after the event they refused to bring Lapras in line with all other mons during a change, and waited until Gen2 dropped to eventually do it.

It wasn't a nerf...it was bringing Lapras into line with ALL other mons.

This means the logic behind a Snorlax nerf after the event is actually flawed.
