Snorlax Charged TM

Actually I have a 3040 cp Snorlax who had Lick and Hyper Beam and changed Lick to Zen Headbutt cuz Lax is a disappointly raid attacker, I was wondering if also changing HB at the risk of getting Earthquake, also if Earthquake is inferior or on par to Hyper Beam in defense?

This is not even a question :).

Your set, ZH/HB is the only moveset one can hope on their snorlax at this point in the game. EQ or HS does not have STAB and is not really effective against any good Snorlax counters.

Don't ruin your Snorlax.

Heavy slam counters Rhydon and Tyranitar. Both are good counters to Snorlax

Earthquake does the same. Your arguments are false

Since when is Rhydon and Tyranitar good counters to Snorlax?

Your examples are not "good counters" they are "tank counters"

Snorlax with EQ or HS = no STAB but super effective against Rhydon and Tyranitar.

Rhydon with Counter = no STAB but super effective against Snorlax.

Tyranitar have no SE moves against Snorlax so all its doing is tanking while trying to put out allot of DPS which is not time efficient.

Its a shame they don't even mention Heavy slam on the defensive moves explenation even thougt ZH-HS is ranked A on defense.

HS is a worse version of BS wich was unargubly the best defenive move on Snorlax in gen 1.
If you want to take down a high cp snorlax then tank counters are your best bet. Either that or Machamp. And if the attacker uses machamp I would rather have HS than HB or EQ

Change it back to Lick, lol, being useless in raids doesn't mean it isn't good against other common defenders, except Snorlax and Blissey.

Normally, Earthquake hits super effective damage against its common counters, but Dragonites and Murkrows can demolish them quite easily. Both are very easy to dodge.

Earthquake does 51% damage to flying. Hyper Beam does 51% damage to ghost.

Sorry to intrude with my own problems, I just didn't want to make another post about this. My Snorlax has Lick/Hyper Beam, and I was wondering whether I should fast TM it to Zen Headbutt. Which is better in the current gym system? In raids?

ZH is better for defense and only slightly worse on offense. You probably aren't going to want to use Snorlax much on offense so I say go for it.

Yeah, I think I will. Actually, I am swimming in TMs, and don't foresee using them in the near future.

This sounds pessimistic, but why even use a TM for a defensive mon? If somebody wants to take that gym, they're going to. It's unlikely that a better charge move will make much of a difference. Unless you're just swimming in TMs, it may be better to use them on your offensive pokemon where a better charge move can mean you are able to solo a raid.

if u are going to tm a def poke use it on Blissey to get Dazzle. If you are going to raid with snorlax and make the other players do your dps then leave it as is. Snorlax is a tank your charge move does little in the big scheme of raids.

Lax L/HB can be sixth odd man for Mew2. Much better than blissey. Lol

Lol i'll do the inverse: change my 93.3% ZH/BS 3170CP Snorlax to L/BS. I love attacking with Snorlax specially to take down a Gym. I have one L/BS 2810CP already and im working on a 93.3% L/HB too. L/BS will work great on pvps.
For raids, Snorlax can do fine as a tank counter against Alakazam, Lugia and will be the best tank counter against Mew and Mewtwo too.
To finish, Snorlax is my third prefered mon: Mewtwo, Dragonite then Snorlax.
