If Tyranitar or Rhydon gets Smack Down, you will regret maxing out six Golems. Rhyperior (and Rampdaros) are also likely to eclipse Golem.

Does golem evolve like a mega golem perhaps

There seem to be Megas for almost every Mon ... but that does not come until Gen 6, so who really cares at this point?

BTW How did you come by so many 100% Mons? Optimists would say you are fortunate or tenacious in your hunting. Cynics would think you have been using some serious IV scanners or perhaps buying accounts. I am NOT accusing you of either ... just skeptical to see a post with so many 100% Golems and Eggs.

"I was able to get these before the trackers went down for good"

I think your question was already answered.

Nope. Instead it has an alternate form, which would not affect any previously caught Golem.

Unless you desperately want to try Ho-Oh with as few players as possible, these are already high enough.

Hkn's response is spot on! Golems are excellent (for now) but if another higher Attack stat Mon gets double rock moves, then Golem will become a second tier raider just as Gyarados and Vaporeon became somewhat irrelevant once Kyogre arrived on the scene. certainly the lacklustre Hostess Hoho is not so appealing to you to make you want to flush 1 million plus stardust! The Golems you show are adequately awesome to do some serious damage!!

Gyarados is somewhat less outclassed, simply because Kyogre is legendary. Tyranitar, Rhydon/Rhyperior and Rampardos are not legendary, so less resources (read: Rare Candy) are required to power them up.

Additionally, Gyarados's double resistance to ground, from its Flying type, comes in handy when fighting certain ground pokemon that are weak to water (Groudon, that we've already seen, as well as probably Rhyperior and other future ground/rock pokemon.

Sure, Kyogre is stronger overall than Gyarados, but Gary isn't completely outclasses in every way by Kyogre like Vaporeon is. Further, Gary has Waterfall, which is way more effective than Water Jet as a quick move. So Gary is still useful, while Vaporeon is just a second class Kyogre (but is still way better than Starmie or a host of other meta-irrelevant pokemon).

Honest question: is finding a 100 even exciting anymore? I mean, you have a full squad of Golems and Exeggutors at least. Who knows what else the trackers have netted you.
