Shiny charm

If something like this was implemented, I'd be curious to see if it would be a special item that you get one-of, that passively increases your chances of encountering a shiny, or if it would be something you'd buy in the store (likely in bundles) that would increase your chances for 30mins.

Either way, I'd bet anything that if and when an item like this is implemented, it would be accompanied by a slew of "I got this item and caught X number of [insert Pokemon that could be shiny here] and I still don't have a shiny! Wtf, this item is broken! Pls fix nao Niantic!" posts. 😋

Unless they implement a shiny form for every pokemon, this wont happen

It also takes the charm out of the game if you can buy (or modify) everything you want.

For example, I was really excited to find a shiny Kyogre of 2318 CP (96%) at the end of the raid yesterday. Would it be as exciting to capture a 95% Kyogre under shiny charm and mod it to 100%? Of course not, let alone that everyone else also will create what you have.

Items that boost IV/shiny dilute the game. Would they sell a lot? Probably, but it also would drastically remove some of the appeal for anything but gotta buy 'em all.

This game's already like shiny charm on steroids. I've found several shinies out of nests, and CD's making them even more common. I'm not sure we'd need more unless it's an item that can only be gained and used one time.
