Shadow ball mewtwo v blizzard Kyogre?

It's surprising how more than half a year on, I've still neglected to create a blizzard Kyogre team.

How do shadow ball mewtwos at max level compare to something that gets insta killed by blizzard but is single SE? Is the single SE user still viable? Say for example sake, we are comparing max SB mewtwo to:

1. FP Venusaur max level
2. TS/TB Jolteon max level
3. TS/TB Jolteon at Lv 30-35

Is there a case where the SE user prevails or is SB mewtwo doing better in this case?

I'm gonna use Jolteon a fair bit as filler/2nd team, my 650 max revives will finally get some use. I have 3 max ShB Mewtwo and I guess my Mew has Wild Charge, so a topic I need to investigate as well.

I'm in a very similar situation; I also have no real answer to Blizzard Kyogre. I do have a level 30 Jolteon (the rest are lower), a level 35 FP Venusaur, but also L40 and L36 SB Mewtwo. From what I can tell via Pokebattler, Jolteon is for sure the best of the three, followed by my maxed Mewtwo, and then Venusaur performs about as well as my L36 Mewtwo. My guess is that Jolteon can get Thunderbolts off fast enough that it usual dies right after using one, ending at peak DPS, whereas Venusaur is slightly slower, and tends to die right before getting one off, ending at a dip in the DPS cycle. The difference between the two Mewtwo is probably bulkpoints - I'm guessing that the higher level one can take hits slightly better to the point that it has a much higher chance of getting off an extra SB.

I have a lucky L25 TB Mewtwo I'm heavily considering powering up for this purpose. To bring it even up to L35 will only cost me a couple extra candy and save almost half the dust compared to teaching an already powered up one a second attack.

Based off the DPS/TDO spreadsheet here SB Mewtwo's DPS trails pretty far compared to maxed Venusaur and Jolteon. Even a L30 Jolteon has higher DPS than maxed Mewtwo.

Blizzard kyogre teams are difficult to make for a few reasons, 1, not a lot electric types can take high powered hits, as they are typically low defenses, higher speed in the main series, which is one of the reasons's Raikou's so good. and 2, Magnazone's not out yet

I’m not a downvoter, but the OP can make a perfectly good blizzard Kyogre team. Very few, including the OP can make two battle parties up to snuff. I raid with two phones 90% of the time. However, if he has a real raid group that lets him get +4 balls and the group doesn’t need for him to have an extra phone, he can easily just max revive his A team and then re-enter the battle.

Pokebattler gives most grass types with good multi-bar moves a better TTW than SB Mewtwo. The change to effectiveness really killed the idea of using raid generalists, they just can't compete in DPS anymore.

The single SE user I'd say is more viable if your phone is decently fast to rejoin with.

I did a Blizzard Kyogre raid at 820 this morning, foggy weather. Level 35 Roserade didn’t get a Solar Beam off, on 2nd account other level 35 grass attackers didn’t get Solar Beam off either. 2nd account fainted after 100 sec. My account wasn’t going to last too much longer: max Raikou, level 35 Raikou, level 30 Raik, level 36 Zap, level 38 FP Venusaur got 1 FP off (morning crowd+spoofers allowed raid party of 12—battle took 104 sec). Autoselect 2nd party was gonna be defensive Kyogres
