So now we have a template for what to expect for the next few months. Round 2 for every Legendary + beefed up Charge move + chance at a shiny

Yeah, this should get more people raiding.

Moving forward, I will definitely wait for a shiny legendary with a beefed up move set
+ high IV before powering up

My Sky Attack Lugia is 80 right now, improved from 70. Not an exclusive new catch improvement on the move.

All reports of shiny lugia catch on first ball. It is likely that it has 100% catch rate. Niantic doesn't want the backlash of a shiny legendary run away.

A concern could be people that encounter that shiny with very few balls to throw. I can see a Mewtwo catch rate as realistic, that could seem like 100% with a small reporting sample so far

Raided 3 times today. Caught all 3. Two shinies. First catch was the first ball. Third was also shiny, caught on 4th ball.

I think I saw someone say shiny Lugia ran away but not sure. Will look for the comment. Edit: seems the poster of the comment meant that a normal Lugia ran away from him and he would not be able to take a shiny one running away. So yeah likely 100% catch.

Can confirm. Found one on my fourth encounter. It wouldn't stop spamming attack and I missed 4 balls because of that. Got it on the fifth ball even tho it was a crappy throw.
